I heard Anthony Bennett's name mentioned for the UNLV team and it got me thinking what if he did sign with UF and was on this team...would he have made the difference to win a title this year? Imagine having him on this front court to add depth, scoring, and rebounding...I think he is averaging 16 pts. and 8 rebounds a game.

We'd definitely have a 9 man rotation and an inside scoring threat off the bench, that's for sure. Past that, who knows?

same thought crossed my mind....along with if Beal for some reason stayed

but unfortunately didn't happen, man he'd be the missing ingredient

If Beal had stayed then UF would have another mediocre shooter from the 3 point arc, probably be playing Boynton out of position at the PG spot and be a much worse defensive team.

Similarly if Bennett had come to UF, UF would have a discontented frosh coming off the bench who may or may not have contributed 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds UF gets from Prather/Yeguete. They play 36.9 minutes a game and while Bennett would not take every single one of those minutes he might have taken 20 of them. Making 3 players on UF's team less happy.

I think Beal staying - as a matter of chemistry - would have had more impact.

At the same time I think Beal's a better pro than he could ever be as a college player in Florida's system.

Beal could drive, dish and finish at the rim.....not to mention a much added length as a defender. He can also get his own shot, something nobody on this UF roster can do except maybe Prather

Call me crazy but I think Beal with another year under Donovan would potentially be player of the year in college basketball this year

We'll win if we play smart and not forget who we are. Hit some three's and we'll win but we cannot forget playing inside...which we did yesterday late.
