New Number Fonts
What does everyone think of them?
They are using them with the new practice uniforms...

Personally, I am not a fan. They almost look cartoonish to me. JMO.

Block numbers. They are alright.
This is cartoonish to me.

It's just block number fonts--THE most widely used style in football....at every level.
What is the problem? Just be thankful we don't use what Maryland uses...not to mention some of the truly oddball looks other schools have.

As long as the jerseys are orange, it's all good.

The font isn't cartoonish at all. It is about as close the old style block font as you can get. Here is what the numbers look like on the white, blue and orange jerseys.
The only real change is the the horizontal lines on the inside edges (which I circled in red) of the 0, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9 create a point instead of going straight across. Other than that, the numerals are about as old school as you can get.
There is an inline on the blue and orange jerseys that doesn't show very well, that is just like the white inline on the numbers on white.
It should be noted that the font is the same as on the basketball jerseys, except the basketball jersey font is italicized and I don't believe there is the inline.

^^^^Atlanta....if you are trying to show how it will/would look on our jerseys, you need to change fill colors to white on both the royal and orange jersey examples. We've pretty much always used white fill color, with the third color as the outline.

You are right. I pulled that directly from the brand manual. I was really just trying to show the difference in the font.

I wasn't trying to nitpick--just didn't want someone to think we may end up going that route. And your comment about it being so close to full block is so true--there is almost no difference at all other than what you pointed out. For the most part, these fonts look the same as what we've have for ages.

Sooner or later UAA will realize TRADITION is important to UF football fans. Hopefully it won't be too late.
