My hopes for seeding in the NCAA tournament
2 seed or 3 seed? I really don't care! What I want is to stay out of the midwest bracket, so we do not have to potentially face Indiana in a virtual home game. I believe we can beat any team in the country on a neutral floor. My main hope is the we get floor neutrality as we make our run in the tournament. We seem to not do as well in a hostile environment on the road, and if we faced the Hoosiers in Indy that would definitely be a hostile environment. I would prefer to get the 3 seed in the South, East, or West over a 2 seed in the Midwest. Just my opinion.

FWIW, both Palm and Lunardi have UF in IU's region, the midwest, in their latest brackets. Palm still has IU his #1 which is complete BS, IMO. IU really doesn't deserve to get a virtual home game while losing 3 out of their last six and they certainly don't deserve the overall #1
I would gladly play IU now, they have proven to be quite beatable, but it's an unfair advantage for them to play 30 minutes from home. Of course, UF will play where their seeded and who knows? brackets can always take a U turn.

Overall #1 is Louisville....the committee will pick them so Lunardi and Palm are insignificant. All they are good at is predicting who makes the field.

We'll be a 2 or 3 somewhere, most likely a 3, and I'm good with any region. I like us against any team out there if we bring our A game, no matter where we play.
KB breaking out yesterday was huge for us.

And it's even possible that Indiana may not get a #1 seed. It all depends on who are the #2s and if any of them have done better than Indiana. If Georgetown had won their tourney, then I would said they would have taken Indiana's #1 and IU got #2. If Miami wins the ACC tourney, I'd MIGHT even push them into a #1 and push IU down to #2.
Miami's last 7 games had losses at WF (13-18) by 15, at #3 Duke by 3, GT (16-15) at home by 2. Ugly loss was WF due to the score.
Indiana's last 7 games were losses at Minn (20-12) by 4, at home vs #14 Ohio St by 9, and a loss against #22 Wisconsin by 12. Ugly loss is the home loss against Ohio St.
Hard to tell if even Miami deserves to bump Indiana since Indiana's last 3 losses were against pretty good competition. Minnesota is far better than WF and GT.
So if Miami is scratched off the #1, who is left? Duke, Georgetown, or Ohio St? Is Ohio St good enough to take the #1 spot? They are 8-1 over the last 9 games, with their only loss against Wisconsin, who just beat the crap out of Indiana. And they play them in a rematch for the Big 10 title. If Ohio St wins this game, they would have gone 9-1 in the last 10 games with there only loss against the team that beat the crap out of Indiana, who is supposedly the #1 team.

I'm telling you guys, don't worry about your seed. Just worry about your region. You want to be out west. Its almost a sure thing you end up out there with New Mexico and Gonzaga.

Palms latest bracket makes me wonder something. He's got Florida as the 3 in the Midwest with 2 seed Georgetown and 1 seed Indiana. This could be worse, but keep in mind that this isn't the same Georgetown team that you guys saw for a half earlier this year.
Michigan State, on the other hand, is the 3 seed out west where they'll face off against 2 seeded New Mexico and 1 seed Gonzaga.
Here's my question. The higher a 3 seed you are, the closer to home you'll be. Is it possible it'd be better to lose the SEC tournament (not suggesting throwing it, just hypothetically) and end up the 3 seed out west than winning it if it won't get you a 2 seed out west?

Palm is a moron. His bracket hasn't changed at the top. It's like the conference tournaments had zero affect on the bracket unless you were an automatic bid or on the fence. In fact, all the talk all week is the Last 4 In, Next 4 In, Next Last 4 In, Next Last 4 Out. Yet, the teams at the top have changed too with many of them losing in their tournies.

Don't want to play Indy in Indy and don't want to play Louisville anywhere. Other than those two I don't think it makes a huge difference who we play. We can beat any of the rest, we can lose to any of the rest.
