Official: Florida vs Ole Miss, Sunday, 1:00 PM, ABC
Next game in line is the SEC Tournament Championship and a chance for the Gators to become both the regular and tournament champions. Once again the Gators have a rematch with a team they beat at home earlier in the season, This time it is the Ole Miss Rebels who lost their previous game with Florida 78-64. This is another team looking to even the score with the Gators and lockup a guaranteed spot in the NCAA tourney. They enter the game with their hot shooting guard, Marshall Henderson, who is currently averaging almost 20 points a game. In the first contest between the two schools Henderson did his part by going 8-15 from the floor including 7-11 from behind the arc for a total of 25 points. Still it was not enough and the Gators won a decisive victory.
The question this time will be whether our guards can do a better job of slowing him down Sunday than they did the last time around. The good thing is one player usually can't beat you by himself and the only other player to score in double figures in the last match-up was Hollaway with 15. Florida's smothering defense should once again cause problems for the Rebels and we are all hoping KBs performance today was a sign of good things to come for the rest of the season. All-in-all it should be a good game tomorrow but one in which the Gators should prevail if they continue to play like they have for the last two games.
Go Gators!

Henderson will get his points, the key is to limit Buckner and Holloway by getting them into foul trouble. They have no answer for that.

Hope I can watch it. My local ABC affiliate chose to televise some girls high school bb games rather than the SEC semifinals.

I hate playing a team full of scrubs who are the circus side show for the overrated trick shot artist. They always seem to win games they shouldn't. I say we put Scottie/Boynton on Henderson all day and don't worry about doubling him. Let him get his points and shut down the rest of the team.

Exactly, let him shoot a high-volume, let him get his 25 but get every loose ball and offensive rebound off of his misses and we win going away

That's what we did in our earlier meeting with them. Scottie did a good job keeping up with him.
We just need to make sure that Buckner and Holloway don't hurt us inside. If they are kept in check, we'll win by 10 or more.

I see a blowout win for the Gators. It won't even be close.

Well UMs is being asked to play their 3rd game in less than 3 days. UF will be playing its 3rd game in three days. Additionally, UF only has one player, Wilbekin, who played 60+ minutes in the first two games. UMs has had 4 of their players play 60+ minutes. UF has had a rotation of 8 guys in our two games. UMs played 7 their first game and then 6 against Vandy as I believe one of their rotation guys was hurt against UMo.
So overall, it sounds like UF should be a bit more fresh and has more depth for this game than UMs. Of course UF still has to go execute.

Let's hope Henderson went out and got his head bad after the game.
Well, maybe badder.

ole miss will be charged up - trying to make amends for the loss to us in the odome. hope we aren't complacent in our attitude thinking we beat them relatively easy the first time. you know how that goes when you're even a half-step slow or not as intense.

I'm going to my first Gator basketball game today. I live just outside Nashville and have never had much of a chance but today can't get any better with them playing for the SEC title. I'm so stoked. I have my wife going with me (who is a volunqueer fan) and she will be wearing the orange and blue today supporting the Gators! I'm ready and GO GATORS!!

Personally I would prefer we put Kenny and Casey on Henderson exclusively and let him work for shots. Then the remaining players play their great team defense. He will get some points but we win going away.
I predict a 12 point win.

As always no predictions from me.
Would like to see Young finish baskets and control the boards as well as the continuation of KB's shooting confidence.
Go Gators!

No way we shoot poorly 2 days in a row and this time against a mediocre (at best) defense. Make our shots and play typical Gator defense and we'll be fine.

Gonna have to watch tape-delayed on the DVR today. Kite day with my daughter. I'm convinced that if we had cancelled, the Gators would have lost to LSU or Bama :-). Go Gators!

This is not going to be a gimme.
Ole Miss is a very good ball club, make no mistake about it.
They wouldn't be in the finals if they weren't.
We were trailing Bama at the half yesterday. We are a very talented team but at times our shots just don't go in.
I think this will be a very tough game for us.
Go Gators!
