Checking out the Utah papers for tonites match between the Gators and Utah ...

There were 14,300 presold tickets to the 15,000 seat Huntsman Center for tonites meet, so a sell out is assured.

This is big time gymnastics and I'm proud we are part of it.

People watching this meet on the PAC 12 network are laughing, judging by the posts on the college gym board. Utah is being so grossly over scored and the Gators are being underscored, it is really sad.

Impossible to win when the judges are so bad. Nonetheless, uf puts up a great road score and will reclaim the #1 ranking.

Team has had a great year but certainly not a lock ti finally bring home the National Championship. Oklahoma and Utah are both capable of beating UF as we saw tonight.

Utah will not be a factor. Oklahoma and Bama will be. Utah was almost a point over their season best tonight. They were grossly over scored at home. UCLA being the host will also be a contender, but not Utah. Be surprised if they even make the final night.

Watched a replay on P12 network this morning. I am hardly a trained gymnastics judge, but it was fairly obvious who the better team was. I'd guess we were about .5 better than Utah. This result makes the sport look like a joke.

The Gator beam rotation was incredible - easily the best I have seen this season. Really impressive in front of 15k+ (even if the Utah fans aren't nearly as hostile as UGA, LSU and the like).

Looks like the thread title on here was a foreshadowing of things to come According to the fans in that gymnastics board thread we got pretty well sold out by the officials.

Got to love this quote from there:

Everyone watching knows Florida was superior. Utah just had the better judges. Honestly, this is the worst and most egregious display of judging I have ever witnessed in college gymnastics. This was soviet block bad.

That appears to be the big issue with gymnastics across the board--it bit us last year in the Super 6 and lost the meet last night.

Pretty much what happened in the NC match against Bama last year too.
