It was great to see Kenny finally force the issue on offense (in a good way). The way he aggressively looked for the ball and his shot inside the arc, as well as transition, was great to see. You can really tell him and Murphy were playing with a sense of urgency when we fell behind. Let's not forget right before Kenny went nuts, Erik had that series where he was relentlessly crashing the offensive boards and getting to the foul line. Kenny took it from there.

Just in the nick of time! This is why you have to keep players in there that have his type of talent. He brings too much to the table because he can do so much. NEVER second guess coach!

He doesn't need to go off like that every game but just be able to score consistently
Really disrupts the flow when he's not scoring

You could say "scoring Kenny" had left, and I'm so glad Donovan challenged him on his scoring and he responded.
But, Kenny does so much more than just score.

Guys I missed the game, how did KB look today? From all accounts that I have read from the game, is it safe to say he was awesome against Bama?

After today's game, Kenny Boynton now has 1982 points. Very close to being a 2000 point scorer!

He didn't turn it on offensively until we were down by around 10 in the second half. He took off from there and scored around 11 straight points for us.

Wow. You know that has to help his confidence, which will help us next week.

The sky rebound and coast-to-coast lay in was the POY so far for me. He is so fast! I bet he runs a 4.2 40.
Hardly any teams can stop this. KB...like another poster commented... INSIDE the arc. Much more of this and less SW walking it up. Billy was shooing SW up the court for the 1st 2/3rds of the game. Hope he lets Kenny run the fast break a lot more.
Thats why I loved that play. Its like he said "Slow it down against Bama? Give me the dang ball!"

I also said that. I still think Boynton and Rosario have been painfully inconsistent throughout the season, but they both played well today.
Nobody can question the decisions Donovan makes. I understand that Boynton's contribution(s) to this team go far beyond his ability to shoot the three, but he's been inconsistent this year. Nobody who's watched this team closely would argue otherwise. Hopefully he sustains the "swag" he brought to the second half of the game against 'Bama.

I thought the announcers said it perfectly. You screw up in basketball when you play Soft, Stupidly and Selfishly. Kenny has never done any of that. He hasn't been playing badly, he's just been shooting badly. There was never a lack of effort, never anything negative. His shots just weren't falling.

I would like to see our guards create more shots from 10-20 feet.

Thank goodness henderson doesn't have the attitude of Kenny.

The TV guys hit it right on the head when he said that getting those 2 free throws might be the catalyst Boynton needed, just getting to see his shots go in the hoop. From that point on, KB just willed the Gators to victory. That fearless fullcourt 1 on 2 break he made, just outrunning those guys downcourt, was one of the best plays of the year for us.

If my math is correct, he still has an outside shot of becoming Florida's all-time leading scorer if we win out and he averages just shy of 18 pts a game. Unlikely, but why not?
