Let's see, among the claims coming from Fox and the right so far have been: Marines weren't allowed ammunition, the CIA was told to stand down, the White House watched the who attack on live video ... All false, of course. And those are just the ones off the top of my head.
Now, if I understand correctly, Obama made a conscious decision not to help the consulate because it would have cost him votes?

That is the other reason I find the aftermath more damming than the events themselves -- the total lack of ambiguity. To go more than two weeks talking about a video required an intentional will to deceive or such gross incompetence as to be unfit for office, from the President down.
