You must have spent time in Ft. Lauderdale. That's the only place I have seen them. I used to be friends with a couple of family members that owned the place. I thought they were taking the place public, but it never seemed to happen. Oh well.

If I were opening a franchise somewhere in Florida, I would seriously look into Cafe Rio. It's still relatively new but their food is phenomenal. Along the lines of Chipotle, Moe's, etc, but better. http://www.caferio.com/

I normally get the NY Steamer but I'm going to have to try these two next time I go. Thanks!

Yup. At one point there were 4 of them but I think some falling out happened within the family and two were sold or closed. There are still two though. One off 595 and pine island and one on sunrise and university.

Bill does Pei Wei franchise? IMO Northwest Gainesville could use a Chipotle. There is one on University and one on Archer. Putting one near the mall or even further north at about 16th and 43rd would do well.

This.
Mrs. Gatorknights works in an office complex at that intersection and her co workers would wear that place out. I didn't realize it but there is a ton of office space that's occupied and not enough lunch spots to serve them.

Yeah, we live up pretty far NW (near 53rd and 43rd) and compared to the last 8 years near campus the food choices are small. Within quick driving distance (10 min, which is what you are looking for when you want quick service) we have Zaxby's, Five Guys, McDonalds, Jersey Mike's, and Subway. That is it. Would love to see a Chipotle move around there or even a healthier option like a Panera.

Chipolte does not franchise
neither does In and Out Burgers
people are fooled by Panera- you do not get anywhere near your money's worth with them

Skyline is fine Cincinnati style chili. But there was one across the street from the main SOW entrance on Tennessee Street for many years. Bad karma.

Yup you can call anything healthy and still serve oversized overpriced portions of it. I bet there is little calorie difference between panera and other sandwich shops.

Chipotles...better than Moe's IMHO.
Now I don't know the franchise differences but we just got a Chipoltes in Ocala and it feels like the commuter lot at UF right now (granted it is the first week and a terribly small parking lot as I would have picked a different spot but is new construction at a busy intersection).

no Willy's fans? I know there is one down in Gainesville, must not be impressing anyone.
Up here in Atlanta, Willy's seems to outdraw Chipotle or Moes.
