By the way, I was thinking about going to the tournament tomorrow. Do you think it will be hard to get tickets?

I'd be far more amused had we not lost to that dirt farm a week ago.

I asked the question in the game thread - would UK fans rather be in the NIT or one of the four play-in teams? Which would make them more embarrassed?

Can't speak for them, but I'm pretty sure they would prefer a NCAA bid. It's not like they're building for the future with this group of kids as most will be gone soon.

Three first round draft picks and the 6th man of the year and Cal can't get then in the tournament, I just don't get it. I guess he needs 5 NBA players to win.

One drawback to Cal's system is that if he misses on one position, it can leave holes in the team and ruin its season.

We deserve every bit of fun people are making about us. This team deserves nothing. You cant just walk in and EXPECT anything, Sean Woods told us this months ago and was crucified.
I do think some of these freshmen will come back and a few other players will move on. It is time to flush out the kids that cant take the Kentucky heat--it isn't for everyone.

If you were a GM who would you take from UK, and honestly not be fearful of your job? The only player that is NBA ready is Noel and his offensive skills are subpar. Goodwin has no shot, and has suspect basketball IQ. Poythress doesn't play hard, and he still has yet to be able to dribble for a far distance without turning it over and stepping out of bounds. Cauley-Stein has no idea what the hell he is doing and is getting by on being a great athlete.
Wiltjer being the 6th man of the year was damn ridiculous, he is one that I hope leaves and leaves in a hurry!!
If these players do leave for the NBA that shows me something...
1. It is one of the worst drafts Ive ever seen and people are desperate
The pieces didn't fit this year and Im ok with that. The future is bright and Wednesday will ease this sting----these guys coming in are competitors not wussies!!

Imo he can miss. Just not at point guard. This is true of any team.
The good thing about Cals approach is that we wont suffer long from misses and that this last years class may only have one 1 and done. Other teams have struggled after losing an entire title team. They had a different "system".

The amount of players drafted out of this class could have an impact on Cal's future recruiting. If high school players have been seeing an automatic route to the NBA by signing with Kentucky this may give them a reason to rethink their beliefs.

Actually, I thing the Wildcats will play in the NCAA tournament.
I mean, how can you have an NCAA basketball tournament and not have Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, UCLA and North Carolina in it????
That just doesn't seem right.

I think WCS has outstanding potential and is a hard worker. Not saying I would take him in the lottery but I would not have a problem taking him in the first round. It isn't like there are 20 can't miss prospects in this draft.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see them slip in. They are a big draw.
