Erik Murphy had the biggest game of his Gator career as Florida mauled the LSU Tigers 80-58 in the 2nd round of the SEC Tournament. Murphy had career highs in points (27) and rebounds (12) to earn a career high 117 value credits. Scottie Wilbekin shook off a recent slump to score 16 points with four 3-point buckets to go with 3 assists and 2 steals for 76 value credits. Freshman Michael Frazier II continues to show poise and productivity with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists for 58 value credits off the Gator bench.
The Gators looked fresh and focused with Senior Erik Murphy clearly determined to make his last games as a Gator count. This was the second consecutive double-double for Murphy. The top eight in the Gator rotation showed excellent ball movement, suffocating defense, and rebounding (42-26 edge over LSU). Kenny Boynton found ways to contribute on offense with 7 assists even though he was struggling shooting with 1-7 from the floor.
