I would be a lot more concerned over murderers, rapists, con artists, and other assorted crooks than I would over LGBTs. In fact the LGBT community may be less inclined to wreak havoc on our country than are our elected leaders.

That's a local problem that all cities/counties/municipalities have to worry about. I'm more worried about the laws that those said people's are pushing into my backyard more than how safe and pretty their neighborhood looks..

It is my firm belief that if you're living in D.C. that politics has something to do with it.. No one knows enough to say either way for sure, but thank God we all have the right to our own opinions about it.
Those (social justice laws) are the types of laws that those people in that area are passing along. Gay marriage is another law that does nothing to create jobs, but instead wastes time and money implementing their social agenda while our country withers on the vine.
There might not be causation proof that 10% gay pop has anything to do with D.C.'s ineptitude, but it sure seems like they're all too busy trying to kill the Second Amendment and passing a gay marriage law instead of working together to create an atmosphere that allows for the private sector to create more jobs.

The inability to work together falls on both sides of the aisle. Has for a long time and I still really don't see what you are getting at but that's OK too.

I don't think you intended the above to be funny, rick, but it really is.

Well, I guess you've never been attacked by a LGBT before !
That will change your perception in a hurry.

I don't think, I know. I have access to insurance institute research which indicates that gay men are more likely to be sick with rare diseases due to the effects of AIDS. Gay men have a life expectancy 20 years shorter than straight men. Why do you suppose that is? Also more gay men are overwhelmed by medical costs and disability. More gays are on Medicaid than straights. The poverty rate is higher for gays. There are more uninsured gays. The unemployment rate is higher for gays. The availability of programs and services for these men are concentrated in the larger cities; therefore it follows that there would be a higher concentration of gay men there.

It is hard for me to understand why something that is less than 4% of our population continues to garner so much attention-

Actually I have, or at least she would have attacked me if I hadn't been faster of foot than she was. The "she" in question weighed in at a good 250, was almost as tall as me at a little over 6', and had what appeared to be somewhere around a 5 iron in her hand when she came out of the house. It was dark and I didn't stop to take a closer look. She didn't catch me but she gave my poor old American Motors car a whack or two and it hadn't done a thing. Seems she took a dislike to me being with her girlfriend who was obviously bi-sexual.

Google is your friend.
"CONCLUSION: In a major Canadian centre, life expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men. If the same pattern of mortality were to continue, we estimate that nearly half of gay and bisexual men currently aged 20 years will not reach their 65th birthday. Under even the most liberal assumptions, gay and bisexual men in this urban centre are now experiencing a life expectancy similar to that experienced by all men in Canada in the year 1871."

"Yet Another Study Confirms Gay Life Expectancy 20 Years Shorter"
"WASHINGTON, DC, June 6, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new study which analyzed tens of thousands of gay obituaries and compared them with AIDS deaths data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), has shown that the life expectancy for homosexuals is about twenty years shorter than that of the general public. The study, entitled “Gay obituaries closely track officially reported deaths from AIDS”, has been published in Psychological Reports (2005;96:693-697)."

Factcheck is your friend, too:
Quote:
Bob Marshall said homosexual behavior cuts a person’s life by about 20 years.
The research Marshall cites to support his claim is two decades old and was conducted near the height of the HIV epidemic. One of the authors said there have been tremendous advances in HIV treatment over the last 20 years and that Marshall’s statement is a "gross misrepresentation" of the research.
The U.S. death rate from HIV was nine times higher in 1990 than it was in 2010, the latest year for the data.
Marshall cites a number of other studies that show homosexuals face certain health risks. But none of them focused on the life expectancy of homosexuals, and they certainly didn't conclude that gays die about 20 years earlier than heterosexuals.
We rate Marshall’s claim False.
