When I saw just the highest and lowest States were listed in this USA Today Snapshot, I was then curious just where all the 50 States may be ranked. Would California not be ranked in the top part of the list? And I think Florida may be near the middle..

I'm searching for a link now. These USA Today snapshots are just little blurbs that are posted on the lower left hand corner on the front page of each section every day. This was on Tuesday's paper, main section, front page 1A. Each USA Today section, Main, Sports and Money etc, all have their little snapshots.
In very small print at the bottom of the Snapshot posted above is:
"Sources: Williams Institute, Gallup Daily Tracking survey."
"Anne R. Carey and Sam Ward, USA Today"

So what is it about Washington DC that makes it so much more attractive to homosexuals?

For the gays I would say the Washington Monument has something to do with it or possibly the Lyndon "Johnson" Monument... As for lesbians???....

I suspect it's more a matter of comparing big cities to entire states.

I thought Atlanta would be in there. There seemed to be a lot of gay people in the town when I lived in it during the early seventies.

Interesting to see South Dakota stick out from its neighbors. As for DC, that struck me as something of a surprise.

There are three reasons that suggest why homosexuals concentrate themselves in large cities. First, there is the opportunity to lobby and influence government policies which relate to their agendas. Second, that is where access to government benefits (primarily health and welfare) is easiest. Third, birds of a feather flock together for obvious reasons.

I thought Dallas would have been on that list. Everytime I've visited there and gone to the movies, malls, or out to eat -- I've seen a lot of homosexual men out holding hands, etc. I could have sworn someone told me it was one of the top cities for that. Maybe not.

What makes you think LGBTs are prone to be on welfare?

D.C. #1..... No wonder our country's going to hell in hand-basket.
No wonder Barney Frank loved it there.
