"We" only includes you if you make more than $400,000 per year, in which case, congratulations for doing so well.
You are living the American dream.

I haven't studied the details yet, but I would be surprised if it doesn't follow previous GOP plans that lower taxes for the wealthy and corporations while raising them for the middle class.

There's a shocker.
Which was the GOP plan that raised taxes for the middle class? Did you study the details of that one? Do tell.

Technically that wasn't an increase, rather a temporary payroll tax holiday expired.

Naturally the math doesn't add up. Just like the country was going to hell if Sequester passed. If it doesn't have tax increases and doesn't allow Obama and thugs to spend more money on nonsense green energy, unions or other foolishness and if it balances the frickin budget, Obama and his party are not for it. Naturally. No news here.
The news would be if the Senate would even draft a budget sometime in the first four years. Wait...I guess we are in year 5.
|
You got that right...naturally the math doesn't add up. We went through this before with Ryan.

FYI- Paul Ryan has forgotton more about our country's finances than the slacker Obama will ever care to be briefed on. Ryan's #s do add up. Obama just doesn't like the #s and priorities, but he will not propose any of his own.
#1- He's too lazy to do the hard work of prioritizing. #2- His goal of providing a government "safety net" to anyone who can breathe and vote demo at the expense of the rest of us with too much pride and who pay the tab would be in jeopardy.

The defense of "anything Obama" is tiring...and quite costly.

that doesn't create demand, but just further acerbates income inequality, and in the long run reduces demand

I wish people like you would actually educate yourself on the budget rather than regurgitating what you heard on Fox News.
If we have a spending problem as you say, tell me, what specifically would you have cut in 2012 to eliminate the $1.3 trillion deficit?

Let me answer that...no one is proposing wiping out the deficit in one year. It's a 10 year fix to get to balance.
Now with the Senate proposal, spending goes up 68% over 10 years. Huh?

The mere fact that you think someone to be uneducated because they think spending is the issue speaks volumes to your education-I understand all to well how budgets work and also how our guvment uses base line budgeting- were you even aware of baseline budgeting or how it works
As far as 2012 goes my first move would have been to totally stop baseline budgeting- then I would have instituted an across the board 10% cut on ALL spending- I would also require every department in our guvment to justify all positions and ALL spending-( every includes the prez)

You didn't answer the question.
Whether it is $1.3 trillion in 2012, or a trillion or two per year over the next ten years, you still have to come up with a trillion dollars or so in cuts if, as you say, we only have a spending problem.
What would you cut?
