A couple of weeks ago, Pope Benedict XVI resigned at 85 saying he doesn't
have the strength or energy to any longer carry out his duties.

A few months ago, at 87, Hugh Hefner married his 26 year old girlfriend.

Doesn't say much for a life of celibacy, does it?"

I have been celibate for 11 almost 12 years, it works for me.

Well, all I can say is that at least the Pope isn't a pedophile like Hefner is. A near 90 year old man marrying who is basically a CHILD to him? A man who marries a girl 60+ years younger than him?

It's disgusting IMO.

There is nothing disgusting about a 90 yo man sleeping with a 26 yo girl, it is human nature, there is an awful lot disgusting about a 26 yo girl sleeping with a 90 yo man

When I am 90, I hope I can sleep with 26 year old women. It is more disgusting to think about sleeping with 90 year old women at 90.

Princess, I have nothing but admiration for you! Hope it's for the right reasons, and not disappointment or abuse by men, which happens way too often.

I heard today that 1 in 3 women are sexually abused by the time they are 18. That is sickening. Just as bad -- 1 in 5 boys are sexually abused by the time they are 18.

We need to wake up and stop this. Our children are our future.

Married 23 years. It's been great. It was better when we had sex. Now I feel like we're just parenting partners and two people who share a bed with a small dog.

No offense to people who enjoy platonic relationships, but in the words of Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot, "F@*# Plato!"

Mammals are meant to have sex. Humans in particular need physical contact to be sane. Sexual contact with people we know and trust is very healthy.

I guess whatever works for you. I've been single the last six months for the first time in seven years and I can say going out trolling every weekend is getting old. I miss the steady sure thing (NOT HER) when I came home every night. No way could I actually be celibate though. I need a girlfriend, I think I've sifted through all the crazy ones this fall and winter.

The Pope sleeps with any boys under 15yrs, but it is legal just cost a lot of the Church money,Hef is always going to be a good dog.

Sex is one of God's greatest gifts to man. Use it or lose it both in muscles or sex drive. I have met a few people in my life that don't need or desire sex mostly women. Feel sorry for them as intimacy is a great experience and stress relief. They are missing something. Think being physically fit and properly nurished is the start because I am and I am still attractive to women 20 years younger. Thus at 60 I still get great sex and a lot of it. Being single does help and I dont need a variety of partners just one great one.
