Guys...its March. Allergies are in full swing. I myself have had a bad case of the snivels...and sneezes....myself lately.
It's just the pollen count.

Ohhhh - I had forgotten about that, since my vegetarianism (for 40 years) completely eliminated that problem for me.
However, snivels do tend to increase severely this time of the year, at least among meat eaters.

Joking aside...I'm not a Vegetarian but my wife does not eat red meat...and while I enjoy a steak as much as anyone...90% of our meals are meatless and maybe 10% are poultry centered. And In the 13 years I've been married to her, I rarely find myself sick.
But snivels...well they just seem to spike in march.

Billy D has always been realistic about his teams. The past few weeks he has said phrases like " winning championships" and "have a chance to go far". This is from someone who knows what it takes to get it done.
If the team will follow Billy's lead, they will get it done!!

Man, this has taken a wierd turn. I'm a carnivore (acutally omnivore) and used to to plaqued with sinus problems this time of year. It seems that since I've started taking more vitamins, my chronic sinus problems have not appeared for several years.

Well, the team needs to get back to the form on defense they showed the first half of the season. That was a sight to behold, the tenacity, the level of intensity. After winning so many games by lopsided margins we lost that game-long intensity and it only showed up in spurts, such as the last 10 minutes vs. Bama. If we can get that back, we are as good as any team I've seen this year.
Against UK the other day, there were a couple of times when the Gator defense parted like the Red Sea to allow the slowest person in Rupp Arena to stroll down the lane for a layup. Lack of focus.
Fingers crossed, we get it back this week.

There were some lapses, but you can't expect to play perfect.
61 points shouldn't get you beat, especially when it took close to 8 minutes for them to score the last 11.
Our problems have been on offense. Until we figure out how to manufacture points down the stretch in tough games, we're going to have problems winning those games. We can rely on defense to keep us in games, but someone has to step up and score, if we're going to win.

Really, the sky isn't falling.

You know given our reliance on SOS in arguments for why we should always have a title shot in Football I shouldn't have to point out that going 5-3 in this years SEC is not equal to going 5-3 in the ACC or the B1G.

A valid point. Although I bet the Mich fans are concerned about the wheels coming off based on their past month's results as well. Ultimately we have a good team capable of a fun run.

The oak pollen levels were high in rupp arena. Hope they are lower in nashville.

I think the problem with this team is lack of focus sometimes, specially down the stretch. You see it in the lazy passes, missed lay ups, and silly turnovers. Patric seems more affected than all others. They need mental focus exercises more than anything IMO.

We don't have enough front court players to keep the pedal pushed to the metal. If Patric leaves the game, for a break or foul trouble, there is noone to take the slack.
The opposite is true with the back court. When our guards are hot, we can smoke people as guys like Frazier come off the bench and drain threes. There isn't a significant drop off there.

We may not have reached the snivel apex, although I sincerely hope that we have. It it still a couple of weeks from the NCAA championship game. Any losses between now and there will be a new peak in the snivel quotient.
