I'll Tell You Why we are Here
The 2 transfers on the bench, that's why. 2 transfers is 1 too many at one time. If we had 2 available big guys, we sould be in a lot better shape. When our injuries mounted, we had to go to a short bench and play the starters longer and it seems that we ran our legs off.
If we had only 1 more big guy, we could go with 2 guard lineups more, which would help the legs.
A bit simplistic, but I think this is a huge reason of why we are playing like we are.

Why we are where? #1 seed in the SEC tourney. There's a lot of basketball to be left and we always struglle in late season road game. I'm not worried.

Or our best player was unexpectedly a 1 and done. Or Walter Pitchford transfers out. Or Larson quits early in the season.
Give me a break, Harris and DFS are going to save us next year depth wise

Our best player was not unexpectedly one and done. Larson and Pitchford were both projects from the start. If I remember correctly, Pitchford transferred before both transfers came in. Billy pulled Larson's spot to make room.

Ah, Grant1, my old nemesis. At last we meet again...
Yeah, we would be better if those guys were available. But they're not, and where exactly are we? SEC champs, at 24-6. Better than I predicted before the season. The disappointment is that we don't look like the team that routed everyone in December and January, but there have been a lot of scouting reports on us since that time.

Perhaps one day you will learn not to argue with me. But not today.
We are not the same team that routed everyone in December and January because we didn't have the depth to overcome the injuries. The 2 transfers depleted our depth. Had we had 2 more contributors when the injuries mounted, I believe would would have been in much better shape to handle it.
True, we are SEC Champs, but we also smell like a 4 seed.

You are indeed correct. Even a blind squirrel will find a nut once in a while.

Larson was a 4 star player out of high school. How many 4 star players are projects?

Well, there were some kids on the bench who never got subbed in. So beyond concincing more blue chips to come to florida the last three years, maybe coaching philosophy of playing 7 experienced guys, rather than playing 9 and accepting mistakes of youth, was the bigger problem.
If indeed tired legs were what has caused boynton to shoot horribly all year.

Sheesh Grant, to a certain extent you are correct, but these are not things that are controllable any more than injuries to guys like Nerlins Noel or Will Yeguete are.
Billy D rarely ever plays more than 8 players much in any games, and this team is 8 deep with 4 guys who can play the frontcourt (a 5th would be nice in pinch situations, even a guy like Larson), and 5 guys who can play the Wing or Backcourt.
And all 8 contribute a lot, which was certainly not true for either of the two National Championship Gator teams.
Only the 2000 squad had the depth that you are speaking of, and this year's Gator team is considerably deeper than most teams in most years at almost all schools.
By the way, the main reasons for the two transfers are similar to having two transfers on the 2010 squad (Macklin & sitting Rosario): (1) they are proven and wanted to come, and (2) the positions they play did not offer high end recruits who wanted to come to UF.

All the top teams in the country from the major conferences have been losing on the road. We don't have the talent that we had when we won our 2 national titles. We won the conference by 2 games. We will be favored to win the SEC tournament. We will be one of the top teams in the NCAA tournament. We have a chance to win both tournaments, but can lose both tournaments. All in all, it has been a good year for Gator basketball.
