I did see that and read it a few times and that was what I deduced, but you might be right.

Dave, I think you are correct. I read it a few times and it took me a couple of passes for my eyes to see the comma and not a semi colon.

one thing i have always admired about Tim is that he really seems to walk the walk
his core message is what i believe to be the core message of Christ, which is to love and not to judge
those qualities are considered "Christ like"
but what I don't understand, is that it seemingly contradicts what the God of the Bible ultimately does....can someone explain that to the ignorant?

There are plenty of threads for that debate. IMO this is a good thread to reflect on all the good he does.

I saw him last night here in Upstate SC. No pictures allowed.
I have read almost everything posted about Tim on these boards the last 6 years and to be frank am a little Tebowed out (not that I would admit that out loud.)
And the first 5 minutes were the same stuff. Good, but familiar.
Then he started talking about his prision ministry, and I was hooked. It was enthralling. he's so humbling and so inspiring at the same time. Wow I wish I had a transcript.
Very moving 50 minutes. I'm Tebow'd out no longer.

BTW I saw the thread title and without knowing it was "our" Tim being referred to, I thought there had been a shooting at Liberty University today. F'ing Pearl Jam.

That more or less we should humble ourselves and let God be the ultimate judge of others while showing them God's love through actions. Now, we should have discernment to what and whom is godly or holy, but not let them feel they are being judged or disapproved. Very often Christians are portrayed as haters of particular people when they are more specifically taking a stance against a particular sin, which they believe to be harmful and destructive to people and mankind.

Thanks for posting this David, it was great. Really enjoyed all the photos, I'm glad you took the time to share them with us.
One thing about Tebow, he always draws a big crowd! Wish we could get him here in Central Florida!

Exactly.
God bless you for those words of wisdom and truth.

It doesn't contradict what God ultimately does because God is the ONLY one who is in a position to judge. "Judgement is mine, sayeth the Lord". While we all fall short, and thus aren't qualified to judge, myself included, the ideal standard of being Christ-like is to love and not to judge. It can be challenging to uphold, but God tells us to leave the judging to Him.
