WBB SEC-T QF: Gators vs #9 Vols Noon Friday

Moss has played really well in this tournament. For the first time the season, really not looking like a freshman. She's got 18 pts, 6 reb, 5 asts so far today.

Zero inside game for Florida which explains the FT discrepancy. It is basically jack up as many 3's as possible and hope they go in. In the 1st half they made some and kept the lead close.

Until we get some reliable interior scoring and overall defense we will always be bottom 3rd of the conference.

for UT 55 shots, 13 from 3
so, %-wise, it's not that abnormal or is consistent w/ what the vols are doing

Almost every one of our buckets in the 2nd half has been at the rim by Bonds/Moss/George/Mercer. I think we are winning points in the paint.

Low post presence..i.e. Set up the offense and dump it down to your scorer on the blocks..Then if nothing is there pop it back out to the open look from 3. I'd say our 3 pt game does not go from inside-out currently.

As good as George has been throughout her career..she is an undersized post player. Obviously, Butler couldn't get McIntyre to be that player. Better hope they find one next season. We don't get a lot of easy baskets that other teams do.

Solid performance overall but predictable result. Letting Tennessee get out to the big lead in the first 4 minutes was just too much to overcome.

Now, the wait to find out who we will face in the WNIT...

Funny for a team with no low post game, most of our points came in the paint. We jacked some 3s in the first half, but we went inside alot also. I reran a play when we were down by 6 and they were trying to inbound and they were allowed a time out. But the girl had the ball 6 seconds. I watch every second of that game, and while Tenn had the size advantage, we were very aggressive going at them. Several times I thought we could have been at the line. We are a big away from being really really good. We are gonna be very good on the perimeter next year.

there were games this season where we tried to get the ball in low and either the opposition just packed the paint and triple teamed george (happened alot) (resulting in a turnover as george was swarmed or a perimeter shot gone awry) or we were atrocious in our entry passes ( = turnovers on turnovers). so, maybe we had a different game plan for this one.

There was one play when we were down 6 that the UT guard passed to her post player that has one foot almost entirely out of bounds when she catches the ball but no call and of course she makes the reverse layup.

The team played well in the SEC tournament. No shame to lose to the Female Vols.
