Palm drops IU in his bracket
to the second overall seed(still a one)after losing 2 games at home and one in Indianaplolis,. Jerry really punished them for what what he must consider, a very nice loss at home, on senior night
UF is still in IU's bracket, so Jerry must have moved UF's overall seeding as well.

A little surprised that it isn't more. Indiana has 5 losses, but none of them are bad (all are to RPI top 50 teams). Further, they have 7 wins against the RPI top 20. That's awfully good.
The top of the field is weak this year too.

I wouldn't call it weak, just pretty evenly balanced. Big ten is best conference and they are knocking each other off. Predict big ten will have two teams in final four.

If the point is to be objective, the one thing I don't understand, is how home losses are now seemingly considered not nearly as bad as road losses?. IMO, its a case of over thinking the fallacious world of numbers and theory.

They will have the most teams in the tournament so I would imagine the odds are good a Big 10 team makes the final four.

New Palm bracket, still a 3, but night and day difference. No Indy in Indy, in Dukes region(DC), would have to play Mich after sweet 16 if UF makes it, probably tougher than UM?... but I like this bracket much better.

If we win out I'm sure it will change again to a 2 seed, Georgetown and Miami lost last night, along with Michigan or Indiana is bound to lose this weekend, also duke might get upset by a resurgent UNC team...

They lost 2 times at home...once to a team we beat down...Then Wisconsin got waxed at home by Purdue. Honestly I see nothing overly impressive about Indiana..Their guard play is very avg. Zeller and Watford are good players, but again I see nothing special about them.

^^^^ this, Indiana is nothing special, they'd have a very hard time against Florida.

IU is a talented team, but I think the main negative with IU is venue. Playing them away from Indy would be different.

Palm has not updated his bracket blog yet, but it seems we've moved above Miami into the top 3-seed spot, which is why we get Duke and not Indiana.
Louisville is now up on the top line for Jerry Palm, replacing Georgetown.

I'd rather be in Duke's bracket than Indiana's. We match up well with Duke and not as well with Indiana. I think Watford, Zeller and Olidipo would be tough matchups for us.

The powers that be have spoken: Losses in the Big 10 don't count. Ever.

I don't know about dangerous, but nobody plays lock down defense like we do. I am sure we lead the country in defensive 35 second violations and if they kept the stat, the highest percentage of times that the shock clock goes down under 5.
