Official Final: Florida - 66 vs Vanderbilt - 40, Wednesday, 8:00 PM, SEC Network
It's Senior Night and at least three of Florida's players will play in the confines of the O-Dome for the last time. Kenny Boynton, Erik Murphy, and Mike Rosario will be introduced tomorrow night as Gator fans take to their feet to give them a rousing ovation. All of them deserve the good praises that come their way as they have helped guide Florida to some great seasons since they have been here. Although it will be both a happy and a sad time the really good part is they know they have an NCAA bid awaiting them and that they can clinch total ownership of this year's SEC Championship by taking care of business with Vandy.
Vandy has compiled a 13-15 (7-9) record this year and will - as other teams have - be looking for something to define their season. A win over Florida on their home court would go a long way into easing the pain of a very poor performance this year. Florida will once again come into the game with a full compliment of players available and by all rights should beat the Commodores by a hefty margin. Free throw shooting, KB's outside game and how Will looks in his 2nd game back will be what many of us will be watching. These are areas that will affect us as we head to Kentucky to finish out the regular schedule and go into the post-season.
Go Gators!!

By the way, don't we have more control of the schedule than this? How does Jeremy Foley let Senior night be scheduled during spring break, middle of the week?

I'm not sure what, if any, control Jeremy has over the SEC schedule.

Thanks for the thread and info Hall!
Going to miss those 3 guys.
Murphy goes to the NBA for sure.
Rosario...what can you say? The guy''s been a force!
Then KB....one of the greatest players in Gator BB history.
Well we will get to see them in a few more games after this one.
GO GATORS!

I would like to see a senior night doing what best exemplifies this team, lock down defense.
Vandy is a very poor offensive team. Let's hold them to under 40!!!

Not very much since we ALWAYS seem to be served up as fodder for blue in rupp on their Senior Day the final game of the season. THAT needs changing.
Something's up when it keeps on happening year after year after year. blue in bball has the same unfair hegemony over the SEC office that gump has in football and foley is the only man in this league who has any standing whatsoever to do something about it. And he won't.

Nifty. Thanks.
Against an opponent of Vanderbilt's caliber I'd normally be content to just catch up on things after the game ends if it's not on TV, but I'd like to watch the outright SEC title.

IIRC, we always play UK the last game, but it switches sites every year. I do drink a lot however, so my memory might be a little fuzzy.

Just thought of something - remember last year when it was Vandy's senior night - and we got whooped.
They had a bunch of senior bigs who were sharpshooters and they were on FIRE that game.
They played so well I wasn't really upset at the loss - especially given they had so many great seniors playing for their last home game.
Tonight it is OUR turn....
