Attention everyone!!!
The man's name is Will Yeguete.
Not Yeguette.
Or Yegette.
Or Yuegete.
Or Yueguette.
It is Will Yeguete. Short for Wilfried Yeguete.
Ye Got It?
Now go drink some Bordeaux.

Just glad you were talking about Charlie Weiss or Jeff Driscoll.

Why isn't it Wil Yueguete then? Why are we adding an exta L?

Thanks, Gotthaam!
It bugs me, too.
And, I just want to add that we don't need to bring in any new recruits just to compliment our current players. They get enough praise as it is.

will you get us to spell his name properly, remains to be seen, with this sort of tactic. i think GC should have a name spellchecker for all gator players embedded in the program.

Appreciate the effort, but there are some names I'll never be able to spell correctly. I could study this post and 5 minutes later not be sure what was correct even in a multiple choice scenario.
No disrespect to Will (he's probably reading this...)

In defense of people who misspell Yeguete, when he first came on our radar during recruiting, the recruiting services disagreed about the spelling of his name.

Eh, everyone knows who you're talking about. This happens with every Gator with a slightly unusual name; I find the constant corrections more annoying than the misspellings.

Like, someone writes Jeff Driscoll and you can pretty much set your watch to there being 5 corrections.

I had no idea his name was underlined. Does that change the pronunciation?

What about funny, light-hearted corrections; like the OP? Are they less annoying?

Maybe there should just be an autocorrect on names for the forum.

This is helpful.
I believe that I spell it differently every time I type. However, it always ends with the
same letters:
(sp?)

Does that mean there's amnesty for posting about Mario Boggans?
