This is true. The question still would be valid where is the best oppurtunity. On the Jets who dont believe in him but have a shaky at best QB situation or on the market hoping a team wants to give him a shot at making the team.

I know this isn't a popular opinion with anyone here because we all have our high opinions of Tebow, but could it possibly be that Tebow really isn't what we think he is?

So many people are so quick to assume there's a huge league-wide conspiracy, but think to yourself, when was the last time you saw ANY player on ANY team that appears to be as unanimously unpopular with both coaches and players as Tebow?! I don't think I can recall one. And I'm not just talking about people not warming up to Tebow, I think we're talking almost extreme hatred in some cases where players are going out of their way to display their dislike. There weren't too many Denver players coming to his defense either.

Could it be that beyond the jealousy many of us assume there is with other players for the media exposure - I happened to see that even now, Tebow is a finalist for favorite athlete on the upcoming Nick Teen Choice Awards - and beyond the coaches not wanting the media circus, that maybe, just maybe, Tebow is a not a nice guy behind the scenes or does something that just rubs people the wrong way? He may be a totally different person in the locker room than the person we believe he is.

I'm not saying that's the case but something about this situation just doesn't add up. I'm just sayin'.

You mean something like: "Tim Tebow is the kindest bravest warmest most wonderful human being I've ever know in my life?

Same here. If the Jets had a new coach I could see the logic in staying, but not with a guy who has already shown his colors. Even if the Jets retain Tebow, it is quite likely they will force a contract renegotiation. Seriously doubt they will pay millions for him to ride the pine, with Sanchez already making the real big bucks.

Someone posted above that he may have a roster bonus coming up. If that is true then that date will tell whether he is in their plans or not. But as I posted before, the worse thing that could happen to Tim is for the Jets to keep him all the way through the pre-season and then get cut in the final round. His chances of getting picked up then are pretty low. You don't make NFL money until the first day of the regular season. And veterans (I think it's 4+ years accrued) get to get their entire year's salary if you are on the final roster. Tim doesn't have that going for him yet.

A lot of landmines out there for his career.

I would hope that they release him, because he won't play even if the first 4 qb's go down. They'd probably resurrect Joe Namath or something. I don't think Tebow is all that concerned about the $$'s at this point, he just wants to play, and as we saw last year, it won't happen under RR's watch.

I think TT should go ahead and switch to running back. He could play FB and TB, he has the size and power and brings toughness.

I do believe that he can lead a team to the Trophy, but he is a gamer..not a picture perfect practice player.

Tim needs to go to a team that will actualy use results on the field as a measure of his worth. So far, Tim has one more playoff win than the Dallas Cowboys have had since Barry Switzer...
