Does FGCU have an edge on UF?
Does this upstart team come into the game wanting to beat big brother UF for state bragging rights? They will be the media darling all week

So you don't think Florida wants to win this game?

FGCU has nothing to prove...they've already far exceeded expectations. They are the first 15 seed to reach the Sweet 16, EVER.
Gators better bring their A game next weekend...can't let up against the Eagles...gotta step on their throats early and bury them...can't give them any life, or they will be trouble, you can count on it.

FGCU had their shocking moment, then they beat a mediocre team while the adrenaline was still flowing. With 4-5 days to prepare, UF wins this one by 20.

If you just look at the match ups, Wilbekin versus Comer, Young, who is going to guard Young. Rosario, Kenny Boynton, Murphy, Prather would be the best player on their team. These guys are playing way above their heads

I actually think UF's B game still wins by double digits.

No. Florida has the edge by a pretty wide margin

Anyone who watched UF basketball this year saw a team who struggled with less naturally gifted and skilled teams who had desire. A want to win that becomes a need to win trumps skill.
UF has shown me nothing this year that proves they can win a dogfight. Maybe they will, but talent alone doesn't win games.
I'm not trying to be negative, I think the gators will win. BDs team is always a tournament presence, and maybe that gives people higher expectations, but out of 2 factors (skill and wanting to win), UF is only superior in one on a regular basis.
I would'nt write them off. I'm done commenting on FGCU though before anyone thinks I'm a plant. As always, go gators and i hope for a good game.

Why would Florida need to win a dogfight? FGCU is the type of team Florida has blown out by 20+ all season.
