8th-9th I don't mind... But 13th is just asking to be looked at like an idiot.....

We are now fully healthy and have plenty of time to make a statement. Should we win out and then win the sect, I think we will be top 5 and again in the front of discussions for #1 seed.
just like there have been all season... there will continue to be turmoil at the top. if we can do as needed, we should be sitting well come selection sunday.

Rediculous.

Thanks coach.

How the hell are we behind Michigan? As bad as we've been on the road, we would never lose to a team as terrible as Penn State.

They are certainly getting full of themselves in spokane.
They made a T shirt for being voted #1. Would be pretty funny if they turned around and lost their next game
I'm always leery of these small schools who absolutely have to take tough OOC games because their conference is no challenge. We'll see how they do now that the pressure is on.

I think Gonzaga's No. 1 ranking, deserved or not (I think not), could easily be seen coming weeks ago, as I mentioned below:
"Now, I think it will be interesting if Gonzaga wins out (which they probably will); other top teams in the power conferences keep losing; and, in 2 or 3 weeks, the pollsters vote Gonzaga No. 1. Then, would it be possible that they could be ranked No. 1 and yet only get a 2 seed or even a 3 seed (which I think is probably what they deserve)?"

I'm just not impressed by Gonzaga's annual easy run through their conference.

I'm really not impressed with Zaga as a program. The media always tries to peg them as the cinderella, yet they have never made it to the final 4. Only one elite 8

I am really not impressed with anyone this year. If we can get healthy, we can win it all

They're a good program, but you're right, they have never so much as sniffed a championship.
Butler has made it twice and other mid majors have accomplished much more in the tourney than they have.
I have nothing against them and don't mind watching them play, but I'm not scared of them in the least.

I've thought about that game quite a few times but then I think about how the injury bug has been this year and think half of our team may have went down on that wet deck.

I agree! Especially when you consider our BPI and RPI standings. I think they are punishing the SEC for having a weak conference. All this talk about the Big 10, but they have not won a national championship for 13 years. The year was 2000 and the team was Michigan State. Runner up was the Florida Gators led by Mike Miller. Bittersweet memories that laid the foundation for the 04's. It great to be a Florida Gator.

We can change all of this. We are healthy. We beat vandy and uk and finish well in tourney and we are good. We haven't been playing well - injuries and depth are part of this. I don't think we deserve anything more - we all admit we haven't been playing well. Let see what happens - next two games will be telling.

It seems that as we get closer to Tournament selection time, everybody moves up except the Gators. Ummmph. That's alright, we will be shipped to the far side of the moon, NC and Duke will both be in the east or south regionals as usual. Some things never change. I think the TV networks tell the voters who are the teams they want to be where. Kentucky, if they make it in, I believe they will, should be in the far west regional, but watch where they are plugged in. Where ever we go, it will be a grind. Miami has had a great year, but if they get shipped to the midwest, that seems not to warrant what they did in the reg. season. They should be in the south, so should Florida.

The only way to fix this is to win and stop losing games we shouldn't and having excuses.

We keep losing to garbage teams and not adding real quality wins.

Actually, the Gators were not fully healthy against Alabama (neither Yeguete nor Frazier were up to snuff - takes a while after any injury), and have rarely been fully healthy all year.
However, I agree that the team has not been playing very well since Yeguete was injured against Arkansas.
Most people just don't appreciate how important a player he is. Everyone on the team is "team oriented," but this Kid chose Batman's Robin as his favorite superhero.
Aside from being, per minute played, the Gators strongest rebounder by a relatively long shot, as well as being one of the steal leaders and a lock down defender pretty much at any forward position against just about any opponent, it really is his teammanship that sets him apart. This is not something one teaches - this is an innate orientation that most people in the self-centered U.S. sorely lack.

When the going gets tough he doesn't wave the white flag and surrender. He's got some Americanism in him yet. ::heh::
