Donovan doesn't jerk guys around like that.

Maybe that's in the Don Devoe coaching manual, but then you'd have to ask: "Once half your team has quit, who do you start then?"

Uh, didn't Patric Yound not start a game THIS year due to effort/attitude issues?

We're still in the REGULAR season, its not too late for butt-on-pine treatment, if needed. If issues continue, then we're doomed since we're not good enough to overcome an effort like last Saturday against good competition.

I don't see a pervasive problem with attitudes and effort. There have been some lapses here and there, but nothing that warrants an overreaction.

If Billy has to sit someone, he'll do it at a moment where there is an opportunity to get the player refocused. Pulling someone out of the starting line up at this point is unnecessary.

This isn't 2007-2008 when the entire team needed a huge attitude adjustment after not showing up to play Alabama in the SEC tourney.

That was an effort issue, and I don't think anyone ever stated or implied or believed that Young had actually been demoted and would have to win back his starting job.

Donovan doesn't bench players and start other players based on whoever played better in the previous game or two. You sounded like you're ready to bury Rosario on the depth chart.

I also said players respond to benching and hope that he responds in a big way. Burying him would be behind Ogbueze. Being behind regular rotating guys is not being buried.
