OK...since he played at Utah...and the conversation will ultimately end up here...because every thread does...I'll say it.

I wonder if any of our Jaguar fans on here thought he would have a good fit playing for Jax?

A lot more than quite a few teams based on attendance. Not bad for a franchise that consistently puts crap on the field and went 2-14 last season.

Personally no. I don't think enough of Smith to trade two second round picks.

No offense, but you actually argued against reasons the Jags fans should bring Tebow in.....so not sure you have a realistic view on Jags football in the first place...but then again that's why your still supporting them

Who is the guy that backed up Marino and ended up getting a boatload of money as a free agent from the Detroit Lions after having one or two good games in relief of Marino.? Scott something or other, That guy = Matt Cassel = Matt Flynn

None taken.
I have been watching and following the Jaguars since their inception. They have been a joke for the last dozen years minus a couple of outliers. I think I have a good handle on where they are. I don't support my teams based on their success, just part of being fan.

Agreed. One guaranteed and one potential 2nd is way too much. I would of given up our 4th. Rather take my chances on someone in the draft with a 2nd round pick.

I think it's a good pick up for the Chiefs.....I also think they gave up to much though.

Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.

I think it's funny when people start off a sentence with the phrase "no offense" and then go on to be offensive.

As a Chiefs fan (it's a curse) we gave up way too much for Alex Smith.

Without any legitimate #1 QB picks in the draft I think it was the best move the Chiefs could realistically make. But IMHO it remains to be seen whether Smith is as good a QB as he seemed to be his last two years with the 'Niners or whether he was a product of Harbaugh and an excellent supporting cast of players that he's not going to have in KC.
As for what the Chiefs gave up, as I understand it the 2014 pick is conditional but we don't know what the conditions or incentives are that would make it rise to the level of a second-round pick. Maybe that's been made known but if so I missed it.
