State by State Impact of Sequestration Cuts

My favorite category is Clean Air and Water. We really needed a cut there.

Pretty much just a straight list of states by economic impact.

Clearly on a per capita basis, Alabama will be hardest hit with $170+ million in military cuts.

The sequester reduces the total federal budget by 2.4%.

American workers all received a 2% reduction in pay January 1st.

We all have to figure out how to deal with it. So can the govt.

Of course, when you look at these cuts individually, they aren't real meaningful unless you know what the current total is.

Of all the categories listed, only defense is a specific constitutional responsibility.

Regardless of the pain, we can't deficit spend at a trillion a year. We need to cut $850 billion, not just $85 billion.
