Jeff (Dailydouble) texted me with the news a bit ago. 2014 PG from Florida.

He has always said UNC is his dream school but this was his first and only visit. Something tells me we still have a chance to flip him, especially with his relationship witg some of our current players and commits. Reminds me of the Austin Rivers deal but Berry isn't a diva like Rivers.

Anyone have any more insight?

Basketball isn't like football in that Billy D won't recruit him now that he is committed to UNC.

Can't say I blame the kid it would be my dream too if I was a recruit to play for a phony liar who was caught cheating and should be in the middle of an academic scandal. Plus I would always look for a coach who does less with more.

When are these kids going to learn...hopefully he sees the error of his choice before its too late.

Once he sees how kasey hill skyrockets here and learns a pro pick and roll offense it should be a no brainer.

You're on the money with this.

I'm not saying there is no other school to commit to but UF. I get that we are not a basketball school, have poor attendence, and need to upgrade the gym.

But come on with Roy Williams and UNC. If he will be happy there, great, but sometimes these kids don't think things through like they should.

That's why I believe this isn't really over with Joel. I would expect Billy to stay on this and potentially flip him.

Way too early to make any judgments regarding commits. Early commits have a tendency to move elsewhere.

Aside from which, isn't there a kid named Wilbekin in Berry's class?

need the o'dome to be rocking and packed to the rafters like it was vs mizzou. do that, not many programs can hold a candle to us. given BD, the 2 recent titles, the sun/warmth, the total sports program. major attractant, especially for the in-state talent.

Honestly what UNC player has gotten better under Roy? It seems as if the longer they stay the worse they get lol. So did UNC dodge the academic fraud thing??

Unc threw the football team under the bus to save hoops.

Going back to his Ku days very few players have improved under Roy. No one does less w more.

Thanks Tupac didn't know whatever became of the UNC scandal. Hope he changed his mind!!

This is true. Unless Berry has a change of heart, Billy is done recruiting him.
