Stypulkowsi gets 2 arrow straight fastballs over the middle of the plate and beats them both into the ground.

Encouraged by the pitching performance, discouraged by the lack of hitting. Miss Zunino big time.

everyone is going to run on us. no official errors, but we can't even execute the pitchout.
liked that we had alot of quality hits - but they came w/ 2 outs most of the night.
couldn't come up with the clutch hit w/ runners in scoring position.

Most of us pull for the Canes. They already have the more successful program so if one has to win let it be the Canes.

Although it matters not at all to me your post doesn't quite make sense.

The pecking order of programs in the state is Miami, FSU, UF.
Given that Miami is already a big distance in front of FSU and UF them winning games and distancing themselves more means little.
In 2010 everyone in the country said UF was going to be the team to beat in the state for the foreseeable future and most thought they would surpass FSU as a program.
So, most FSU fans would rather see Miami beat UF and for UF to stay behind FSU in the state pecking order. Also, I just believe FSU fans like UF less than UM in general though I don't think that is a surprise.

I see. So you are saying from a 'Nole point of view you are more concerned about the team behind you catching you than you are about catching up to the team in front of you?
That explains alot.

I am friends with way more semi's than i care to admit and i can tell you that beating us is the most important thing to them. I have had numerous fans tell me they would rather beat us than win an acc championship. Many are disappointed with last year for that reason. Pretty sad if you ask me. Some of them almost seem to root against us harder than they root for their own team.

All 9 hits were singles last night and the Gators as a team haven't homered in 5 straight games. Tough to score runs if you can't move guys around the bases.

Yeah, that is exactly what I was saying. FSU doesn't even try to beat Miami.
