I'll be down there. I tentatively booked a hotel on South beach but might stay with friends or family. Anyway, do yourself a favor and get a hotel in one of the touristy areas(Miami Beach, Brickell area or Ft. Lauderdale beach). South Florida has a lot to offer in terms of fun and entertainment. I know your hotel is close to the stadium but you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you stay in Mirimar your 1st trip down there.

I'll be there. Looking forward to some revenge. It was a brutal experience the last time we played down there.

Agreed. No need to stay close to the stadium. I would recommend Ft. Lauderdale or Hollywood (depending on your scene) I'd be happy to give info/suggestions to anyone who is looking to come down.

I live in South Florida so I'll definitely be there. I went to the last one (Brock Berlin game 2003) and that was no fun.

I will be there with two other friends. Haven't started planning, but how early should I buy tickets (not looking for great seats, anywhere in the stadium works.) And how much should I budget for hotels on Miami Beach?

I'll be there ! Can't wait to invade South Florida - my stomping grounds. It should an epic tailgating day if the game is late in the day or night.

Hotels:
The cheaper hotels on the Beach will run you 150-200 a night.
The fancy places(The W, Ritz or Fountainbleau) will run you $500-$600 a night. If you're traveling with a group of single professionals, I'd recommend these places. A lot of trouble and fun to be had at these hotels(if you know what I mean)
You can get decent hotels in the Brickell/Downtown area for about $125 to 200. Also, downtown Miami isn't what it used to be. The area has gentrified and is a lot safer than it was last time we played in 2003. There is also a lot of night life in the brickell, downtown and midtown areas.
Tickets
Away games tickets through UF don't go on sale until May.
Miami has started accepting orders for season tickets(you can get them for as low as $98). When single game tickets go on sale, I doubt they'll sell tickets for our game alone. They'll probably package UF tickets with some of their crappy home games.

Are you going with us, or are we going with you? Lol Fred is going with us. (Robbie, his co worker, Aubrey, couple of his friends... They're also going with us. Tried to book at the Hollywood Hardrock, but the they said call back in a month?) Ridiculous... They're going to raise the rates. Bastards!

I certainly won't be buying season tickets just for this one game. If I gotta buy another game's tix maybe I can use that as an excuse to get back to Miami in November.
