NBC continues to mislead it's viewers to the point of corruption!
Time and time again they provide knowingly misleading information to their audiences to the point of corruption. They also were huge supporters of Obama so you can only imagine the job that they did with the election.

The internet and bloggers have killed journalism. It is sad when tmz is more trustworthy than most other news outlets.

I'm sorry, but NBC has been caught editing videos to purposely lead viewers to a certain perspective. They have edited complete sentences to make it look like people are saying something differently than they are. McCain is just the latest

Like have posted several times, I don't care that the people who are attracted to journalism are mostly liberal (they want to be the next Woodward and Bernstein) but there needs to be some kind of standards and protocols as to what is journalism. People make mistakes and they need to be held accountable if they want to be a part of truth telling for the good of the country. If you fail to meet those standards then you are not journalists but rank bloggers or entertainment. And you are NOT afforded the same privileges as the professional journalists.
And if the 6-7pm time slot is filled with nothing but Entertainment Tonight then so be it. But the public will understand that they are not getting news but marketing hype. At least if they are paying attention and care.

The same public who care more when American Idol or Jersey Shore are pre-empted?

Apparently, that cut was made by a local station, not MSNBC. I don't think it was a good one. Here's the full clip of the conversation. McCain never answered her question.

Meanwhile, Fox does seem to have a strange obsession with NBC. Do a search for 'Fox accuses NBC" and you get:
Fox accuses NBC of declaring war on Christians.
Fox accuses NBC of journalistic malpractice in Sandusky interview.
Fox accuses NBC of boosting Obama with hurricane concert.
O'Reilly accuses NBC of hiding news that would hurt Obama.
Fox accuses NBC of bias for hiring Chelsea Clinton.

sorry, but will need more evidence of this than Bill O'reilly's opinion show that has a history of editing clips to show a POV.

You clearly have no idea of he concept of deception.
"Romney! Landslide! Book It!" were predictions and opinion, not deception.
Nice try.

How about the facts, then:
George Zimmerman.
Romney at a fast food joint.
Gun control hearings.
John McCain.

That is them. I am merely saying that there would be a distinct difference between journalism and entertainment. You can't make them care. And you already know that answer.
And you also know why there is so many guns and ammo being bought up.

i could be wrong but the above video was from a Rachael Maddow show
either way, Fox News just has no room to talk here
if you care about this type thing, you should change yourself, and not watch any of them

This is rich...
FOXNews has litigated in court for the right for media companies to lie & distort the news ...
...and you're talking about MSNBC?
http://www.relfe.com/media_can_legally_lie.html
The Media Can Legally Lie
In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.
Back in December of 1996, Jane Akre and her husband, Steve Wilson, were hired by FOX as a part of the Fox “Investigators” team at WTVT in Tampa Bay, Florida. In 1997 the team began work on a story about bovine growth hormone (BGH), a controversial substance manufactured by Monsanto Corporation. The couple produced a four-part series revealing that there were many health risks related to BGH and that Florida supermarket chains did little to avoid selling milk from cows treated with the hormone, despite assuring customers otherwise.
According to Akre and Wilson, the station was initially very excited about the series. But within a week, Fox executives and their attorneys wanted the reporters to use statements from Monsanto representatives that the reporters knew were false and to make other revisions to the story that were in direct conflict with the facts. Fox editors then tried to force Akre and Wilson to continue to produce the distorted story. When they refused and threatened to report Fox's actions to the FCC, they were both fired.(Project Censored #12 1997)
Akre and Wilson sued the Fox station and on August 18, 2000, a Florida jury unanimously decided that Akre was wrongfully fired by Fox Television when she refused to broadcast (in the jury's words) “a false, distorted or slanted story” about the widespread use of BGH in dairy cows. They further maintained that she deserved protection under Florida's whistle blower law. Akre was awarded a $425,000 settlement. Inexplicably, however, the court decided that Steve Wilson, her partner in the case, was ruled not wronged by the same actions taken by FOX.
FOX appealed the case, and on February 14, 2003 the Florida Second District Court of Appeals unanimously overturned the settlement awarded to Akre. The Court held that Akre’s threat to report the station’s actions to the FCC did not deserve protection under Florida’s whistle blower statute, because Florida’s whistle blower law states that an employer must violate an adopted “law, rule, or regulation." In a stunningly narrow interpretation of FCC rules, the Florida Appeals court claimed that the FCC policy against falsification of the news does not rise to the level of a "law, rule, or regulation," it was simply a "policy." Therefore, it is up to the station whether or not it wants to report honestly.
During their appeal, FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves. Fox attorneys did not dispute Akre’s claim that they pressured her to broadcast a false story, they simply maintained that it was their right to do so. After the appeal verdict WTVT general manager Bob Linger commented, “It’s vindication for WTVT, and we’re very pleased… It’s the case we’ve been making for two years. She never had a legal claim.”

1. No, Fox has no room to talk about anyone else distorting the news.
2. That doesn't excuse NBC for incidents like the Zimmerman tape. As I said, apparently this editing was done by a local station and that's all NBC had.

FOXNews is making the critique of MSNBC and its "inappropriate" to point out their belief that they have no responsibility to tell the truth?
I don't even see where the edit of the McCain segment is a issue....

You might want to look up the word 'dispassionate.' Also read the initial link to see who brought Fox into the conversation.
It is not easy to go 0-2 in that short a post.
