Stats on Tenn players
Thought I would post some team stats on Tenn before the game tomorrow night.
One of the things which jumps out at me is the height of their guards. It looks like we are going to be at a disadvantage when it comes to length and without Frazier II it will be further compounded. Their loss of Maymon , on the inside, for the season had to really hurt them and you can't help but believe they would have been a much better team had this not occurred.

If Skylar "deliverance" McBee is 6'3" than so is Kenny Boyton. Love how teams inflate their numbers...including us...hehe.

everyone on their team pretty much stinks outside of Golden, Stokes and McRae.

To me the matchups or really not having a mismatch matters. UTn's usual starters are list:
Stokes, 6'8" 270 lbs
Hall, 6'9" 230 lbs
Richardson, 6'6" 188 lbs
McRae, 6'5" 178 lbs
Golden, 6'1" 205 lbs
I do not see a terrible mismatch there. Neither Stokes are Hall shoot 3s so Murphy will be defending on the interior. UTn has two more guys who play starter minutes. They are both big guards, Moore 6'5" and McBee listed 6'3".
McRae, McBee and Moore are the 3 point guys and they all shoot in the mid 30 percents. They go 4 guards some and then Murphy may find himself matched up against a guy a good bit smaller than him. Of course with Young out, Murphy/Prather will be at a decided weight/power mismatch with Stokes.

Trae Golden has been playing better lately and that has made a difference offensively but he is not a good enough ball handler to be a point guard. Against a quality defense I would expect him to revert back to the turnover machine he was up until two weeks ago. If Tenn pulls this one out then it's not a fluke anymore...they really do have the Gators number.

The Vols stats are skewed due to horrendous "O" in the early season. They are playing much better now on the offensive end.

I wouldn't sell your team short Jager....we are down to 6 quality players and you guys are playing well lately...my unbiased opinion I feel Florida is the better team but I also felt Florida was the better team @ Arky and @Mizzou so ya never know....

Exactly, the Vols have scored 88, 82 and 93 points in their last 3 games all wins. Of course UTn only had 62 points after 40 minutes in that 93 points 4 OT game.

All of them are a vast improvement in "O" compared to the 37-36 G'Town loss but maybe not a great overall improvement.

I'm pretty sure that Moore has been starting lately four UT as a fourth guard... Hall's playing time has decreased significantly with their new four-guard lineup.
Golden has been playing well lately, but I think Wilbekin can all but shut him down. McRae has solid length, but as long as we keep him out of the paint we should be fine there. Stokes worries me... Young staying out of foul trouble may be the key to the game.

How does UT score? Given their team 3pt shooting (32%) & mid-sized height, I'd guess slashes to the basket or short jumpers. So, I'd guess we'll play a lot of 2-3 zone defense.

We haven't won on the road when a team has a pulse, so why would anybody have us as the favorite on the road at 9:00 pm at night, with a team that is surging and it makes their year to beat us. I feel we will stay close, maybe even lead, but you can't change a leopard's stripes. I hate that we schedule 9:00pm on the road late in the season, the networks control that, but we must re-think playing our toughest foes always late in the season and on late night tv. It is like we don't even speak up as to this in the media. Oh well, I will be pleasantly surprised with a win, but I am with madgator as to fully expecting another loss on the road. To add to this late season bag of horrors, we are going to have to play guys that have been riding the bench. I hope they surprise everybody, whoever gets in. I like all the freshmen and I wish they could have played more, especially in the early blow-outs, but we are where the injuries and Billy's rotation has us at this point. With talks of a #1 seed, I hope Billy tells them, you lose this game, you can forget that
Even give them a little incentive, you win this game, we take you to the top steak house of their choice, possible Conestoga's in Alachua, but if we lose we go through the drive-in at McDonalds! LOL
