Next up are the UNF Ospreys, also of the Atlantic Sun Conference. UNF finished 2012 with a 31-25, 12-15 record. They did not play in the post season. So far in 2013 UNF is 5-2. They took 2 of 3 over West Virginia, beat Bethune-Cookman and took 2 of 3 over The Citadel.

haven't seen bobby poyner on the mound this season, yet. wonder if he gets a chance? thought he did a nice job in the super regional as a lefty specialist, in a pressure situation, if memory serves.

Sully has given almost everyone on the roster a chance so far in the early going.
'cept connor mitchell, bobby poyner, andrades, cody fulton and two of the catchers - that do get bullpen and warmup duties, fahrman and haskell.

the ospreys regularly eat us up too - even when we're a CWS-caliber team. fortunately there's not that many birds in the sec...only those gamecocks...and, of course, those wardamneagles.

I was wondering the same thing about Poyner. I thought he had a good year last year, and would have contributed this year. Wonder if he is injured? These guys need to really focus on the little things to have a chance to win any game right now.

We've sprung a leak at the hose connection at the back of the pitcher's mound. They may have to turn off the main. Ground crew out there with a squeegie and they're bailing into a bucket!

i like it: a variation the ole bull durham trick to cancel a game when you're on a losing streak...soak the field - get a "rain-out" w/out any rain!

Well, they put the cover back on, and took the buckets off so I guess they got it stopped somehow.

Hope it doesn't get much colder. I've already got every layer on that I brought!
