Official Final: Florida - 71 vs Arkansas - 54, Saturday, 7:00 PM, ESPNU
And then there were five...........games left in the regular season that is. Hard to believe this season is almost gone and we are headed toward post-season play but here we are about to play the 26th game of the season, or maybe a better way to put it would be our 26th and a 1/2 game when you figure in the canceled game against Georgetown.
I don't have to tell a single soul that follows Gator bb why this game stands out a bit from the other teams with not-so-good records we have played. Arkansas handed Florida its first league loss and did so by coming out scorching the nets at Bud Walton Arena. For the first part of that game it seemed anything and everything they threw up went in. The Gators conversely lost Will Yeguete right off the bat to an injury and then Young picked up an early 2nd foul further compounding our problems. While the Gators were still able to outscore the Razorbacks in the 2nd half, the 17 point first half deficit was too much to overcome.
Tomorrow night at 7 PM the guys get a chance to even the score a bit and we can look for the home crowd to be electrified. While Arkansas has a great record at home it is an entirely different matter when they take to the road and most people fully expect the Gators to add to their woes come tomorrow night. The biggest thing for our players is they need to shake off the loss at Missouri and realize what all is still possible for them this season. The team is still one game up on the next closest team which is Bama and they still control their own destiny. I, for one, still believe they can pull off another league championship and the game against Arkie is one more step toward realizing that goal.
Go Gators!!!!!!!

Arkansas will need to be exorcised. They deserve it and we do need it to win the league championship. That would be a great accomplishment. Hopefully we end the season injury free and head into tournament time healthy.

good to hear these games are sold-out.
the energy and spirit in the stands - the rowdies, dazzlers, pep band, etc - all helping the cause to get the 'W'. it is a LOT of fun to attend the games. if you haven't been to a game recently: go!
okay, Gators: let's go and win the SEC title! one game at a time. make bacon out of the hogs!

Shouldn't the title read Arkansas @ Florida?

caught some lacrosse last night before the baseball game: great new gator sport. really impressed - by the team/play and facilities. got a great new program there. and there was a pretty darn good crowd considering concurrent events going on (baseball and gymnastics).

you should try to catch some women's tennis (playing stanford!) at 11 am sunday. maybe catch the doubles before the lacrosse game.

we will need to take advantage of their fatigue, having played a close game with georgia thursday night and then making one of the longest flights in the SEC on just 48 hours rest.

So far the two games I've been most worried about in the SEC, we've lost. I'm not worried about this one. I think Billy and the kids go undefeated the rest of the regular season.

SMOKE those hams!
I read Billy is demphasizing the payback angle...NOT ME.
We got an azwhipping and I'd like nothing better than a payback w/ a usurious interest rate.

It only counts as one game, win or lose, but I expect that Arkansas came to G'ville at the most inopportune time. And since we play at home MUCH better than away, I think this game is going to be a 25-30 point blowout.
