The only thing Meyer may have done wrong, in regards to recruiting, was texting too much. He was a machine.

He exhausted every avenue possible to get players.....(But legally.)And let's face it, recruiting tebow opened the flood gates. After that, winning games and us being Florida did the rest. Not trying to be cocky, but its not hard to recruit Florida. Especially when you're winning.

Extremely weak post. This post is "cut from the same cloth" as pulling up the first few links from a Google search and posting them as proof of anything, on a thread that is about oversigning.

I don't even like Meyer myself, but you've really got to do better than this.

That Snead story was bs and a perfect example of poor fact checking by today's media. Tebow and Snead were both at the elite 11 QUARTERBACK camp so they obviously knew one another before their senior years. Do you think no one there talked with one another about their college choices? Snead claimed he saw Tebow on tv his senior year which is obviously bs.

I think that the only way to clean up this mess, and the basketball AAU mess, is to declare HS coaches and AAU coaches as agents. That way any effort by them is financially motivated and can be regulated. Otherwise they are going to be paid under the table to "encourage" a player to a program whether it is in the player's best interests or not.

But I expect that certain universities are going to sell their souls for a few more wins and there is nothing that can really be done. It is only whether you want YOUR university to go down the same rathole. I like UF just the way it is and if that means we aren't a pro-factory then that is okay by me. JMHO
