Political Scientist: Obama Is Most Centrist Dem Since WW2
Makes you scratch your head
Least liberal
So where is all this extreme talk (Marxist, Communist, Radical) and vitriol coming from if it isn't from reality
hmm

Quote:
A model created by political scientist Keith Poole finds that among the Presidents we've had in the post-war era, Obama has been the closest the political center among Democrats.
This undermines claims by Republicans that Obama is an extremist liberal.
Among Republicans, Eisenhower has been the one closest to the center and George W. Bush the one farthest.

Economically, he's basically an Eisenhower-era Republican. His most obviously "liberal" policies are social. People keep saying they want a fiscally conservative, socially liberal candidate/president.* Well ...
*I know some people read this vague sentiment as meaning "libertarian" (usually these are libertarians)

Oh, not in the upper-case sense, no. In the lower case sense, you could make a pretty strong argument that he is.

I don't see it - but go ahead and try.
He does not submit realistic budgets.
HE, BHO, suggested the spedning cuts he wants to avoid so bad now.
He talks a nice game about lowering the debt. And thinks the next guy should try. He is not a fiscal conservative by any measure. None.

Why is reckless, arbitrary cutting of the deficit "fiscally conservative?" - that seems fairly radical to me. Perhaps we need to establish what is meant by "conservative" first. Obama is clearly not an ideological Conservative. That is obvious. Is he tempermentally "conservative" in his approach to economic policy? I think that's a pretty reasonable statement. One that you will likely disagree with if you've reflexively bought into decades of labeling Democrats as reckless tax and spenders without any regard for actual data.

because a political scientist found some way to say it makes it a fact? a political scientist is a liberal too most of the time-the fact that he is a college prof in cally lends credence to his liberalism

It is an offense go the word "science" that it is called political science, and I can say that because I have one of the worthless things. Got a BA in BS -- BA, because the last thing 60 credit hours of undergraduate navelgazing about politics should ever be awarded is a Bachelor of Science.
