both ways. Uf is just not mentally tough enough to over come it in a close game. WE missed the free throws, not the refs

If we get that call I think it was a 5 pt game with the momentum, instead they get the ball and take a 3. Ballgame. I'm sick of these refs and having absolutely no accountability. When does it stop?

That was the ball game. Young didn't move a millimeter on the court. Five and the ball suddenly turns into a two point game, momentum irreversibly lost.

They called it the same way on Mizzou. Did they get some home calls? Probably. We, however, missed our FTs. We CHOKED. End of game

Bad officiating, but still should have won. Still shocked that KB or Rosario didn't drive the basket, but time to move on to next game. Looks like Bama game just got a little bigger.

Officiating is the major reason average to above average teams like Missouri and Arkansas are unbeatable at home, but can't do squat on the road. That is the one thing about college basketball I do not like. Every SEC crew calls the games differential and it is the same in football as well.

All things equal, we are around 15-20 points better than Mizzu.

Exactly what other teams go into hostile environments and overcome "crappy reffin"?

Has billy ever drawn up a good play for a winning shot? Might as well not call timeout.

So the travel on young had no bearing on the game? Up 4 with the ball with 3 mins left compared to up 1 after they hit a big 3. Get real.

We completely choked at the end. But, after Murphy hit that transition three to put us up 13, every single call went Missouri's way to bring them back in the game. Otherwise, we likely have a comfortable lead throughout. We obviously need to execute much better down the stretch and hit our free throws, but that biased reffing was ridiculous. The two that stand out in my mind are the previously mentioned Rosario charge, and the play where Prather got ran over and got called for a block after the shot was missed.
We didn't lose because of the refs, we lost because we choked at the end again. But the refs had a major part letting Missouri claw back in the game.

We are a better team than Mizzou, but we most certainly did not get robbed tonight. When you miss that many FTs, that is all on you

Refs played a huge part in letting Mizzu back in the game, that can't be denied. Did we lose by any single call from the refs? Not really, but one could say that absolutely terrible call on Young "traveling" and the series of calls after we were up 13, really helped Mizzu bring it to a manageable score late in the game. History shows close games late go to the home team.

Yes, the travel shouldn't have even been a question with that "mugging" taking place. Of course the announcers don't say anything even though it was right in front of the camera on the replay.
Also agree with the posters saying the refs were terrible and kept Mizzou in the game but we should have won regardless. Our play was just as embarrassing as the officiating at times.

It was amazing to watch the charges by Mizzou when they were literallty running over our kids under the net and the refs calling them blocks. Then again, the reaching in, the hacks, the wrsit chops, and no calls.
I have about had it with CBB refs who allows themsleves to be influenced by home town crowds and not do their friggin;g jobs.
Mizzou must have gotten a good 12 - 16 points off bullsh*t, home town cookin' tonight.
Myself? I'm not really surprised because teams that go "undefeated" at home as long as teams like Mizzou do, are usually the beneficiaries of home town cookin' like tonight.
Just yet another example of the atrocious, incompetent officiating in CBB today

Agree with everything here. 100% SPOT ON, sir.
I can take a loss when we flat-out didn't show up and were outplayed/hustled (KState). I can take a loss when the other team plays out of their mind and the breaks don't go our way (Arkansas). Hey...those will happen to any team.
But games when the officiating CLEARLY benefits one team over another and CLEARLY causes a 10-15 point swing in a game is unacceptable to me.
I'm not saying Florida shouldn't have done better. We missed several chances and no one can deny that either.
No one can't deny that the officials botched at least 4-5 charge calls that were made incorrectly against our team (leading to several points by Mizzou in the process); the bogus 2 quick fouls on Prather in the second half; over the back not being called the entire game, etc.
Officials need to man up and do their F'ing jobs. I don't buy the "well, the crowd influences their calls--they're only human" excuse. If they allow fans to get in the way of their jobs and making the right call, then they don't deserve to be officials, period.

Make more free throws.

That's life on the road in the SEC. You either get enough separation so its not an issue or it becomes a factor that works against you.
Still, two of their best players were in serious foul trouble and we went to the line quite a few times.
I have seen us jobbed by the refs on numerous occasions, but this was far from the worst treatment we have ever received.
This game was lost due to a number of factors that pretty much everyone has hit on, not because we were done in by the refs.
