This might be the longest doubles point in history. Nearly 2 hours in now.
Cercone/Morgan trailing 7-8 in the deciding match.

Lost doubles. Tough one there, blowing a 6-4 lead.

I guess #2 lost in a tiebreak? Scoreboard shows 8-8, 1-0

Singles lineup:
1S: #4 Embree (UF) vs #14 Mar (DU)
2S: #9 Oyen (UF) vs #45 Goldfeld (DU)
3S: #116 Cercone (UF) vs #64 Clayton (DU)
4S: #44 Collins (UF) vs Turewicz (DU)
5S: Morgan (UF) vs Mulholland (DU)
6S: Janowicz (UF) vs #102 Jodoin (DU)
Lots of interesting singles matchups. We are stronger overall but it's going to be tough to win 4 on the road.
Highlight match might be Cercone vs Clayton, a rematch of a very long battle won by Cercone to clinch our 4-3 win in last year's NCAA semifinal.

Don't see that often, Gators win first game on all 6 courts. Hopefully they have 4 match wins in them. Duke indoors is much better than we are, so that will be a challenge. Tough 7 day stretch for this team, with Duke today, #1 UNC tomorrow, Clemson and Stanford next weekend.

I don't think this Duke team is particularly good indoors - they have quite a few moonballers on the team. UNC, on the other hand, just crushed Duke 4-0 in the semifinals of the national indoor tournament last week.

UNC is now ranked #1. Duke isn't as good as they have been, but this is our first road test, so we will see how the freshmen respond. Duke would certainly be better if Capra and Kahan were playing, but Capra was kicked off the team and Kahan had tommy john surgery.
I would be surprised if we didn't win this match though, we should.

Got 4 sets at 1, 3, 5 and 6. Surprised Oyen dropped her 1st set, that girl she is facing is not very good. I remember her from last year.

Looking like a lot of the matches will be going 3 if the starts of the 2nd sets are any indication

Duke seems to have grabbed the momentum. Out to huge 2nd set leads on courts 1, 3, 4, 6. Gators lead the 2nd on court 2 and tied on court 5.

Cercone and Janowicz both lose the 2nd and fall behind early in the 3rd. Uphill battle from here.

Not looking too good. Could actually end rather quickly as Oyen blew her 5-2 lead.

Collins loses 6-3, 7-5 at #4. 2-0 Duke.
Going to take several miracle comebacks for us now.
