As a manager, I was always told to work SMARTER not harder. One of Billy's great qualities is he is secure in having great coaches on the bench. This makes it so BD can work smarter rather than harder (that's a compliment to him by the way)

A great leader delegates to great leaders.

Billy is a GREAT leader.

Totally agree. Then remember too that Billy is truly one of the great coaches in college basketball. 15 straight 20 win seasons! As Vitale says, "Are you kidding me!!"

I came to Gainesville and started working for UF in '85. I remember going to games back then. As a UW-Madison alumn, I couldn't believe how bad the basketball was at UF. Billy made UF a basketball a conference power, then a regional power and finally a national power through his coaching skill, flash, tenacity and ability to adjust to changing teams.

I don't think the majority of our fans really understand what he has done for UF. So much is taken for granted these days. In basketball, Indiana was Indiana before Knight; Syracuse was Syracuse before Boeheim; Duke was Duke before Krzyzewski, but UF was virtually non-existant before Billy.

Man, I hope he stays and I think he will 'til Jeremy leaves. After that, ........?

It could be more of having an older, more athletic team. They understand what the other team is trying to do and anticipate it and have the ability to execute. The only starter that is not quick is 6' 10" and that makes up for speed.

We better enjoy Pelphrey because I think he will be a hot candidate next year. He was given a raw deal at Arkansas. Their loss was our game.
