I think this is embedded for my life. LOL, Dunking on 7' Cauley Stein who is a little foot slow, but will be a great player down the road in his career. Casey Prather thanks for being a Florida Gator!
To Scottie, I wonder if Billy had something to say about the behind the back pass? It doesn't matter, it was a thing of beauty and caught the Kats by surprise.

Dunno. ESPN did a poor job covering the game. Fortunately, Dick's voice was a bit soft and I was able to tune him out. My wife even commented that Dick was not talking about our game.
Well after the UF lane violation on an UK FT, did they mention the lane violation. Wish we had ESPN's "B" team!

There was no foul on Prather's dunk.
After the dunk we went to the full-court press, and Rosario mugged his guy. The foul was on Rosario on the inbounds pass. I guess they were in the bonus by then and so that's why UK shot FT.

Yeah, but that was nice since it gave ESPN time to show lots of replays of the juke, pass and dunk

Prather was single-handedly responsible for 4 of our top 5 or 6 plays. He had the dunk of course, then he went inside and scored on a wonderful back-to-the basket play after passing on a 3, he made a great assist to Murphy from the top of the key, and he had the monster block. He is a highlight maker.

Prather did a great job of not shooting a wide open 3 that he had, because he did not have his feet set correctly and he wasn't ready to shoot. No doubt if he took it he would have missed. Instead he took the ball inside and scored a 2. Most guys take that 3 just because of how open they are. Did anyone else notice that play?

I couldn't of been more wrong on prather coming into the season. I thought the flashes we saw last season were just that, flashes. He is really playing at a high level, his minutes need to increase IMO.

His defense, especially ball denial on taller 4's is really, really special, he is that pain in the ass defender that all teams need and all opponents hate to play against, took three charges last night, hope he gets those same calls in Rupp and at Mizzou but we can't bank on that, going to have to get more out of KB and Murph offensively on the road.

"I just have a really strong gut feeling that KB and Casey have better games than as of late. KB is due and Casey has some matchups that should favor his athleticism and ability to get to the rim."

I guess I'm pulling a Tupac here. I was wrong on the KB analysis (3 TOs specifically, but his defense was outstanding as usual), but Prather came to play and seems like he is having a lot of fun out there. He isn't forcing things.
I didn't realize that Prather only played 1 less minute than Patric last night. He really has proved to be quite valuable off the bench, as Vitale reminded us about 20 times last night.
I would have liked to have seen Casey get a few more rebounds (3 last night) but you can't really complain about much about his performance.

We didn't miss a whole lot, if any, the way Prather played in place of Yegette.

I hope that Walker, Graham and Ogbueze are seeing what happens when you are patient and when you continue to work hard despite limited or no playing time. Neither Yeguete nor Prather were getting major time when they first got to UF. Now they are getting major minutes and have become invaluable contributors to the team.

Correction......Gave ESPN time to promote their next game (Mich vs Mich St) or show old pictures of Dickie V coaching at Detroit (got fired) or promote his top 5, or any other agenda not related to the game he is supposed to be talking about. ESPN has become totally self-serving, and pathetic.

Prather's ability to hit that mid-range jumper is huge. Murphy can hit it, but he's often outside coming off a screen for a three & seems to play more with his back to the basket. Teams have to respect Prather's shot which will open up a drive to the basket or pull a defender from Young & allow Prather to get the assist.
