Has anyone looked at some of the Gator's OOC opponents relative to their conference rankings recently:
1 - Arizona - tied for first in the Pac 12
2 - Marquette - tied for first in the Big East
3 - Kansas State - first in the Big 12
4 - Wisconsin - tied for 3rd in the Big 10 with Michigan
5 - Middle Tennessee - First in the Sun Belt
6 - UCF - tied for 2nd in Conference USA
7 - FSU - tied for 6th in the ACC
8- Yale - Tied for 3rd in the Ivy League
9 - Air Force - Tied for 4th in the Mountain West
10 - Savannah St - 3rd in the MEAC
11 - Alabama St - 5th in the SWAC
Admittedly, the bottom end of that is not very impressive, but the top 6 are looking pretty good.

Air Force and MTSU are actually better than most of the SEC teams this year. MTSU would probably finish 5th in our conference.

That's why our SOS is currently No 11 nationally. It is predicted to go to No. 25 through the completion of our regular schedule. Will increase slightly going through the SEC tournament most likely.

Prediction doesn't mean much if Wisconsin, Arizona, KSU keep winning. I don't see how Florida's schedule could drop to 25th, I don't buy it.

For sure... I don't see how it could even drop out of the top 15? Wisconsin, Marquette, Air Force, KSU, UK twice, Mizzou twice, Yale, Arizona, Ole Miss... And even though SEC is in a down year, the point is Florida totally blows them out. I mean who's better Duke? Who just barely beat a horrible BC team last night by one? Indiana? Who lost to Illinois, and Wisconsin? And barely beat northwestern and Michigan at? Or Michigan who lost to WISCONSIN, Indiana and Ohio st? Florida has just as tough of a schedule as anyone in America that same Wisconsin team that is handling the big ten, Florida manhandled... I just don't buy any of what commentators or analyzers try to sell. They don't know shit, excuse the language, but I don't care. They think the crappy teams in the ACC, Big 10, PAC 12, Big 12, and Big East are better than the crappy teams in the SEC?!? Lol makes no sense, Florida will run through the tourney up till the Elite 8 mark my words, they'll fumble but won't lose, and make it to the NCG... JMO

They [b]ought to[b] do all of that, but they need to make sure there are no more Arkansases. We haven't beaten Kentucky even once yet, and UK is beginning to reach its potential. Alabama and Vanderbilt are not exactly road kill either. SEC has a down year? I am not exactly overwhelmed by the ACC or the Big 10, either.

The big ten is the best conference in the country by a long shot. I do think the SEC is having a down year compared with the past few.

big 10 is solid. big east is good too. pac 12 is the one that may not be as strong, imo. acc is ok - but not as strong as they typically are, same w/ the big 12. sec is down quite alot.

The ACC's reputation has been inflated for quite a number of years now. Once you get past Duke and UNC (in most seasons), the drop-off is severe. This year, it's Duke and Miami, with UNC and NC State in the next tier. Beyond that, there's nothing but mediocrity.

I guess we need to root for Marquete and KSU tonight in the Big Monday top 25 matchups.
BTW, I think the SEC is not as down as everyone is saying. The bad teams are not that bad and the middle is pretty tough.

Slive really does not understand basketball very well. What the SEC needs to do to be perceived better is not schedule up but beat:
1. Indiana State and MTSU come on Mississippi
2. Tulane, Mercer, and Dayton UAL, gee UAL seems to lose to Mercer every year.
3. Youngstown State, Iona, and USM, what's up UGa.
4. Boise State and St. Louis, right LSU
5. Southern and St. Louis, seriously aTm losing at home to Southern U?
6. Davidson, Marist and MTSU, give us a break Vandy, I guess Vandy is in a rebuilding year.
7. Murray State, Dayton, Rhode Island and Winthrop, ok AU?
8. Elon, the alma mater of Lloyd "World Be" Free really SoCar? Heck Martin has a big rebuilding job so I can forgive them one of these.
9. Troy, Loyola (Chicago) and AL A&M seriously MSU? Again there was huge rebuilding task here but to win at UGa but lose at home to AL A&M is nuts.
So there are 23 games that SEC schools should win most of. Most of these teams have beaten better teams than these losses. I do know some like UAL had injuries. Still had these SEC teams won even 75% of these games the SEC would be perceived much better.
So before beefing up schedules, SEC teams need to start winning games they should out of conference unless your theory is your team will only play tough against equal competition.

Did we not play 12 non-conference games? Who was the 12th game It was not Georgetown, which is why there only 12 and not 13 to go with the SEC 18 games.
