Fastest Gators in 2013?
With the 2013 class now signed, who are the fastest Gators we have now?
Here's the 40' times for the Top 6 newbies:
4.40 - Adam Lane (nice to see a RB with breakaway speed)
4.43 - Chris Thompson
4.45 - Vernon Hargreaves III (that's one reason he's the best CB)
4.45 - Keanu Neal
4.47 - Ahmad Fulwood (also nice to see that speed at WR)
4.50 - Kelvin Taylor (ditto with Adam Lane)

Lane hasn't run that fast since before his injury. He ran a 4.7 at a combine last spring, though he busted some long runs this season. We'll see how he does during track season. Thompson and Hargreaves are legit. I've seen Neal listed must slower than that. Who knows where these sites get their info? I've heard rumors that Fullwood isn't as fast or does't play as fast as advertised. Heard the opposite about Robinson. He's listed at 4.6, but in his clips he runs away from everyone. 4.5 is probably generous for Taylor. He has explosive quickness and power, plus great lateral movement which gets him to the second level a lot where he manages to keep a step or two ahead of people, but doesn't quite break away.
This isn't a super fast class. It's a super talented and tough class.

I was about to say that about Lane.
I can tell you from first hand knowledge that Kelvin is consistently a 4.55 guy. His fastest will be around 4.48 and his slowest will be around 4.6.

To be honest, I had no idea Lane was the fastest. That is awesome with his build.

Driskel is top 5 in raw speed. Let him QB and run the wildcat.
Burton is top 10. Let him line up every play in the slot and work it from there.
Put purifoy at WR. O production PROBLEMS solved. Or repeat last year with 2 big runs against crappy defenses.
Trololololololololl.

Is Keanu Neal the son of former Gator receiver Frankie Neal?

I think we need some Wal Mart parking lot races to determine this...

Thompson has been quoted at 4.37. Not that I ever believe these numbers unless they're at a track meet.

Also depends on 100 yards vs 40 yards. I like Thompson in the 40, but one of the big tall striders would catch him in a 100.

As long as our guys are a step faster and get to the endzone befoe their player does they can measure their time with a calendar and i dont care! Just score baby score. Or sackem if its a defensive player!

Purifoy. Debose. Would bet that Patton is the "quickest."
