I mean the insight there is amazing. It's almost as valuable as saying "without Danny, Spurrier has zero titles."
You could do this for literally every coach for literally every championship team in literally every sport.

And without Meyer, Tebow probably chooses Shula and goes to Alabama.

Spurrier won with several QBs at UF ... AND WON BIG! Equating the statements of Spurrier/Wuerrfel and Meyer/Tebow is laughable. Wasn't Matthews the 7th string QB when Spurrier arrived.
Spurrier wins multiple NC's if Bowden and his government funded recruiting helicopter trips aren't in Tally.

Meyer won NC with two different starting QB's. Meyer also won with Alex Smith.
Meyer won with Braxton Miller as well.
4 of Meyers last 5 QB's he has been highly successful with.

Doubtful. UT game would have been in the L column without the short yardage game that allowed us to convert on key drives.

You cannot make definitive statements about alternative history and then use that alternative history as evidence for your argument. There are infinite alternatives of what could have happened. Besides, the team did have running backs.

Well then maybe they could have won without several players. But logically Tebow was a huge factor in that UT game.

He most definitely contributed to the win. No argument there. But we cannot say what would have happened without him. All we know for certain is what did happen: Chris Leak led an Urban Meyer coached team to victory, with contributions from numerous players.

1. phatgator said that...not me
2. Second I said "Tebow PROBABLY chooses Shula"... Nothing "definitive" about the word "probably".
3. I told you, I'm done ripping your posts. Show the same respect.

I'm flattered you appreciate my statement enough to quote it, but please use it appropriately. You will notice Tilly said Tebow probably would have gone to Alabama. The "probably" qualified the statement, which is different from a definitive statement of what would have happened.

True, Meyer/Tebow shouldn't be equated with Spurrier/Wuerffel- after all Meyer won a title with Leak as well and had unbeateen teams when he wasn't coaching Florida talent whereas Spurrier can't get it done outside of Gainesville.

Can't get it done? My friend, he's turned South Carolina into a national power. Did you see that hit Clowney put on Michigan's running back? How can you say the man isn't getting it done?

Not so fast. Let's see what UM does at USC, and what SOS does at Utah. Hey what about Duke? Didn't SOS win an ACC championship there? I submit UM doesn't do squat at USC or Washington, except maybe aggravate his esophagus.

In case you missed it, he was referring to an alternate history.
