Hopefully it is an ugly, false rumor. Seems like a strange thing to make up though...

He is going to meet with Dr.Andrews, so I assume we will have to move on without him.

There's a big difference between a torn UCL and shoulder fatigue, but either way it's not good.
I had noticed that Sully wasn't really talking about him much leading up to the season. I was afraid something like this was coming. At this point all you can do is hope the kid has a career ahead of him and he doesn't turn into one of those guys whose arm just doesn't cooperate.

Usually "shoulder fatigue" is a cover up. I'm sure there is more to his injury. Lets not kid ourselves, Sully has never been up front with Whitson's real injuries. He doesn't like when stuff about his players get out.

You don't meet with James Andrews unless it's serious. Still, it's crappy that something wasn't done last summer when he had to drop out of summer ball. Obviously, based on his freshman performance, the kid isn't right and hasn't been right for a long time.

This stinks. I hope he recovers, it seems like he's always hurt. Maybe him and Patchan are related? I kid I kid.

Yes you did stop our offense very well while there but yes I was holding a grudge. From the day you got here and every time I hear you speak and your excitement about coaching our Gators, working your tale off and being a straight shooter, you are now one of my all time favorite coaches. Thanks coach.

Guess someone else will have to step up. Anybody have any thoughts on the new rotation?

I would guess, Crawford, Kish, then one of them Freshman like Tucker Simpson. Don't think Shafer would, but who knows.

Could also see a guy like Gibson get a shot.

Look, Sully had to have known that this could be a possibility. There is NO way he doesn't have a back up plan in place.

I like Gibson a lot, but I don't think our coaches trust him in big games. There was a reason we didn't see him being brought in tough spots last year. The kids throws 95+ with a good off speed pitch when he's on. I was told he gets the jitters sometimes. I think he is better suited in the bullpen. Some guys just don't have a starter mentality, and there is nothing wrong with that.
