Not that I care, but does this push us past anyone in the final rankings. I have to think that Scout probably considers him a 57 star athlete since he is from Big 10 country.

The staff has been evaluating him all year. They must really like him because they could have pulled a top 20 TE like Vandy commit Mitch Parsons but instead they gave a scholarship to Young.

would he be a preferred walk on? I know we have them available but I find it hard to believe we would have 2 punters on scholarship, unless this is protection in case Christy declares next year

I think they will give him a scholarship we have plenty left over that were just going to go to walk ons next year anyway. Give him a redshirt and he will have 3 years to start once Christy leaves. We were going to have to take a punter next year anyways. This way we just get a kid on campus a year early.
