UF #7, Bama #8 on Scout
This should put to rest any arguments that they are the best of the recruiting services.

Wait, let's clear up the issue here what criteria Scout uses...
How does Scout come up with the player rankings?
Scout works from the grass roots and then reports up. We have a Team of Scouts around the country including local scouts that work smaller areas that submit their rankings to a regional manager. The regional manager will compile the rankings from the local scouts in his area then submit his compiled list to the National Editors. A final conference call between the regional managers and the national editors results in a compiled list of national rankings.
Team Rankings
Team Rankings are a math formula that based on a player's rating and his rankings. 5-Star is a rating, No. 1 quarterback is his ranking.
5 Star = 200 points
4 Star = 120 points
3 Star = 40 points
2 Star = 20 points
The No. 1 player at a position is worth 100 points, counting down to the last ranked player at his position to 0.
For Example, assuming Scout ranks 100 quarterbacks.
5-Star, No. 1 QB = 300 points
4-Star, No. 10 QB = 210 points
3-Star, No. 50 QB = 90 points
2-Star, No. 75 QB = 45 points
The Team Rankings are compiled of the Top 25 players per class. Some teams will over-sign, but only 25 count towards the Team Rankings.

It's not their math adding that's the problem it's their math equation that sucks.

The scout ranking is never in touch with any of the other recruiting services.

Espn , i think, puts alot of weight in the number of recruits first, then probably star average. If yo ulook at USC with a star average of 4.5 or so, how do you not rank them #1 ?

Exactly. When all is said and done, this class may rank up there with the best classes we have ever signed.

Looks about like a concensus #4 class. We were concensus #5 last year.

I could understand Scout having us ranked 7th because we have quite a few talented players outside the top 50(in their view). But really, Bama's class, aside from being unbalanced, is full of top players, very few outside the top 30 at their position, most in the top 20/top 10. But I don't believe there's any conspiracy whatsoever to rank our players/commits lower.

Scout automatically adds 200 points to any big 10 ten. And the kickback hush fund from THE LIAR put 'that other school' in the top 2.

No way is our class #7. The only position that we MIGHT have missed on is QB and Staver is a nice sleeper.

Linebacker from Indiana is Number 5 player in the country, rated higher than Mathew Thomas. That proves scout recruiting services is a joke. Ohio state and Michigan are #1 and #2, please with a bunch of slow northern guys. Scout doesn't factor in location of the recruit, which we see in the NFL is a very big deal. The majority of NFL players come out of two conferences SEC and ACC. And they get there players from the South. Scout blows just like the Hurricanes do. GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!

I think they have us at #8 now. Can't put any stock in their rankings. I mainly go to that site to see who has committed, on what date they committed, and who some of our prospects are. And I like their interface the best.
