German shepherd/ rottie mix
Anyone have some experience with these dogs? How are they as puppies to adulthood in terms of behavior and size.
Any response is well appreciated.

My grandma used to have the same mix. He was a really big dog. As far as temperament, he was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever experienced. A lot of it was how he was raised, babied all the time, and he turned out to be a big baby.

We rescued one as a young adult when he was around 18 months old. That was almost 13 years ago. Somehow, he's still with us! He's the most loving, kind, gentle, and best dog I have ever known. He doesn't get around like he used too, but he is still our 90 pound lap dog.

I've had so many dogs in my lifetime. We currently own 4. My daughter has a rottie. Big baby, but looks fierce.
I recommend small dogs. Eat less. Poop less. You can pick them up easily. My 10 punder goes everywhere with me. A 90 lb dog could not. Evey trip to Lowe's or Home Depot, he is in the shopping cart where you put your kids. Sits on my lap behind the wheel.

I have a German Shepherd/Black Lab mix. She looked like a black lab as a puppy then grew ino a beautiful German Shepherd.
Like my Yorlie as a puppie she loved to chew on just about everything & she sheds a lot unlike my Yorkie.
She loves to play, wants constant attention & loves the beach.
Best dogs I have ever owned.

Then whatever choice you make will be a good one and you hopefully have a great experience with your future dog.

Meanest dog I ever saw as a German Shepherd. The sweetest one also. But I raised the sweet one, and someone else raised the mean one.
A lot depends on the owner with any dog.

German Shepherds do shed a lot whereas Yorkies don't.

i have a german shep/pit bull/chow mix. looks mean as heck but is not. she lets my 4 and 5 year old girls hang on her all day long. great dog. we rescued her. she is skiddish around men (think she was beaten as a pup) and chewed on everything as a puppy. thankfully she grew out of that. now she a 90 lb guard dog that justs wants to play all the time

I am on my fourth Yorkie. They are great little dogs, but are very hard to housebreak. They are intelligent, just very stubborn.
