I bought an autobiography book about the most lethal military sniper in US history in Dallas airport this morning. Half way through, you'll find he was an amazing patriot, soldier, father and husband.

I got home and find on the evening news he was murdered at a Texas gun range yesterday by a younger soldier who was suffering from ptsd, whom he was mentoring back to health. This guy devoted his post military career to vets.

I'm extremely upset to hear this as it seems through his book, I just met him.

This is not meant to be any kind of gun control or ptsd debate, which is why it wasn't posted in too hot. Just wanted to give the pubsters a heads up on a real hero who met a tragic ending.

The perspectives and insights in his book are certainly worth reading if you're interested in Navy SEALs or the effects of military service. He repeatedly put his life on the line for his country and did things few are capable of. I regard him as a true American hero and pray for his family.

I work for the federal judge who is currently presiding over the lawsuit brought against Kyle by Jesse Ventura. I met Kyle just a few months ago. Needless to say, I was shocked.

Just bought the Lone Survivor ebook and am about start reading it on (free) Kindle for PC software.

Just got done reading the book about 10 days ago. Sad too see him gunned down trying to help someone else.
Recommend everyone read "Fearless" its simply incredible.
Also "The Outpost" was pretty powerful.
