no. fox is right biased, and msnbc is left balanced. the others? just cuz you don't 'like' the news doesn't mean it's biased.

And what point was that, Dave? I've always said msnbc "leaned left" and Fox goes right. Other news organizations try to remain impartial and simply report the news, which is NOT biased simply because your side finds itself constantly doing or saying dumb things that can't help but stir negative responses, except by Fox, which is admittedly a "right wing propaganda channel"

I don't watch TV so I can't comment but I did notice extreme bias last week in the MSM. Next week the Boy Scouts are deciding about dropping their ban on scout leaders. I have read many interviews if present day scouts. There was one den (?) that decided to defy the ban. Only one parent objected and pulled their son out. They are from all accounts the ONLY family, troup, or leader in the entire country that objects to this change in policy. This is amazing because I know that a majority of scouting in my area is sponsored by churches that would not tolerate the change. The MSM is trying to construct a reality that does not exist at least in print.

Fox no doubt wins the war of filling the void of those who need to hear a biased talking heads conservative opinion on an issue
But Fox gets way too much credit for it
Conservatives do not want to hear neutral or opposite viewpoints, and more than others they need confirmation bias
So much for the "free thinkers" claim

Fox presents people who are contrary to their points by FAR more often than any other network.
Yes, fox leans right, but they also present contrary views more than anyone else.
They've hired Dennis Kucinich for God's sake.

As opposed to those that "need to hear a biased talking heads liberal opinion on an issue?"

And liberals do?
You imply that liberals are tolerant of opposing opinions? If so, then let's discuss it.

You will find bias in just about every media outlet except maybe for C-SPAN which is unconscionably boring. All that said, I think Fox News would catch a little less crap if they would drop the laughable "fair and balanced" line.

Sure. You have to understand that the study looked at the sourcing for the stories produced. Since Drudge is actually a blog that just writes headlines that are linked to stories from all over than globe, many of them from liberal sources, it shows the bias as more liberal than conservative. Now Drudge uses many liberal sources to prove conservative points which explains the ranking. Make sense now?

Sure, but then the rankings don't actually measure slant, as you suggest.

Drudge is just one on the list and maybe the only real blog. The others are actual media that publish and broadcast stories based on their own sources such as The Heritage Foundation, The NAACP, Planned Parenthood, etc. If you want to throw out the whole study due to Drudge's ranking then it sounds like your own bias maybe a problem as well. I think it is a pretty good way to rank slant bias. Maybe you have a better way?

Any "study" that classifies Drudge as liberal shouldn't be taken seriously, that's exactly what I'm saying.
