all of them Trickett specials at sub 290lbs with the exception of Denson, who's downside is his feet/movement

I still personally would have laughed if Denson had managed to get into UF's class, but he'd have been a career back-up here at best, and he's the best one on FSU's class this year.

My FSU buddies are ready to get rid of Fisher, Trickett, and the whole bunch. They are trying to say that Pruitt is going to make a big difference. But, that is the only bright spot they can find.

Pruitt is going to have a messy first year as DC in IMO. I predict that FSU won;t finish the 2013 season ranked in the top 15.

Bowden used to say, "I wouldn't trade our class with anybody's." Today I thought we just might hear Jimbo say, "I'd trade our class with Florida's."

But if people are focussing on 2 of FSU's guys being undersized, shouldn't they evaluate ours the same way?
Look, I'm not trying to either defend their OL class or cut ours down. FSU has to be a little disappointed in their OL class this year.

They have to be disappointed in their whole class. They got a couple of good players, but missed out on more than they got. We are moving forward, while they are spinning their wheels.

They must be typical delusiNOLES trying to make themselves believe something that's got no factual basis behind it. Like all those awesome defenses Pruitt has coordinated over the years

Can't really argue with that. As usual, they did pretty well on defense but have a lot of holes on the offensive side.

They did have a bad class but the ACC will allow you to do that and still have a great record. They might have a top QB in Winston along with one difficult game on the schedule (UF) will cover up the recruiting holes.

They aren't going to beat Clemson at Clemson early in the season either, and don't count out Miami too.

Their class was ranked 9th in the nation. Ninth, not 29th or 39th but 9th. Not sure how anyone can be disappointed in a top 10 class. Their class was also rated #1 in their conference. Not sure how/why anyone tries to pretend their garnet and gold sky is falling. I don't like it but considering they lost like 6 coaches, they should be doing some kind of whoop whoop Indian dance over there.

I agree that the sky isn't exactly falling and they definitely had a good class for the ACC. But I think you have to look less at where the class is ranked and more at whether or not they addressed their needs.
Particularly on offense. The OL is weak in numbers and quality and an undersized QB in Franklin (if that's even where they plan to use him). I'm not sure they really improved themselves at any position on offense.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but the miss at OL is gonna be huge.
And Clemson overtook them for the ACC's #1 class late this afternoon apparently...

FSU probably can't afford to get rid of them.

That has been mentioned, but the OP just mentioned the addition of only 3 OL next year....later compounded by another poster that only 1 was over 290.
By comparison we are adding 6 next year. Garcia & Moore already expereinced players of good quality by most estimates. Of the 4 frosh 2 are maulers, one is a projected Center (typically smaller) and Jackson will need to gain a little weight (hopefully good weight) to play regularly.
Night and day IMO.

I don't think the REFsu program is really super happy with what they got.
Is it good enough to win the ACC a few more years? Maybe, but with a playoff system coming they won't be getting automatic berths into the biggest games as a guaranteed return for winning the ACC. That conferences brand has been taking hits for several years in football now.
Nobody was fooled or impressed with the win over Northern Illinois.
As for our jucos, this was a down year for serious overall OL talent. That's not just my opinion, it's what the talking heads on ESPN were saying as well.
We did great for that situation, and we scored big with our jucos being arguably the best two in the nation this year for OL.
It also staggers our class enabling us to eventually get back to a regular OL recruiting cycle.
I think this was on purpose on Muschamp's part and think we got a helluvah better class than REFsu regardless of their "top ten ranking".
If they are 9 and we are 2, there is a gulf between those two spots that is incredibly large. They also loaded up at the wrong spots...as usual.
I predict us kicking their asses for many years to come.
Anyone who thinks different can PM me and I will put my money where my mouth is on this point.

We all know they have some good players, but FSU actually went from the #10 concensus class last year to #11 this year, and they failed to address vital needs.
Yes, they have the talent level to win the ACC, whatever.
What I found most revealing is when I was watching us physically manhandle the nolies in their own stadium last November, is a big discrepancy in the size and style of players UF and FSU presently recruit.
Simply put, they play a more finesse style of offense with a smaller, faster defense while the Gators have gone big, fast and powerful. I personally believe that our type of player and development means a better quality and better developed athlete than their's.
Heck, without Ramsey's NSD commitment, they probably aren't top 15 this year. That one 5* star player is the only reason they were close to the top 10 this year.
#11? Not bad. That was about where Muschamp's first class was ranked when Brissett joined in late, but what I've seen is a visible reduction in quality from the players FSU had when you look at last year's game.
Like Elron, I think UF is on top at this time and getting higher and probably started another nice, long win - streak against the nolies last November.

ESPNU was very generous in the time and coverage they gave to Jimbo and FSU on NSD.
